The Skin Cancer Doctor brings highly-skilled skin cancer physicians & nurses to regional, rural and remote locations to provide a start-to-finish skin cancer diagnostic and treatment services. We work in communities where the locals are at higher risk of developing skin cancer. We started our work in 2017 with two community clinics and now travel to over 50 locations, mainly in Queensland. Currently, in rural and remote areas, some general practitioners (GPs) and local hospitals deliver skin cancer medicine. Unfortunately, these areas, which are often areas with the highest risk, are massively under-serviced by doctors or serviced by doctors with limited expertise in skin cancer diagnostic and surgical management skills. Our goal is to detect skin cancer, particularly melanoma, early and save lives. We aim to preserve the lives of those affected by skin cancer and promote prevention and skills in the self-detection of skin cancer. Due to our expertise and ability to treat on the spot, we save local people the unnecessary costs of referral to capital city health services. By working with local, state and federal government agencies, employers and community organisations, we establish temporary skin cancer clinics in local communities, nursing homes and on work sites. Using commercial and private aircraft charter, we can travel to any location. Where possible, we source funding through these organisations so that we can bring affordable services to the people who need it most. High-risk groups:
