A big Congratulations & very well done to wonderful Provisional Psychologist, Lauren, who recently fabulously passed the National Psychology Exam! New resources have arrived for supporting working with our clients with intellectual disabilities: The You & Me Relationships Education Card Set- these cards, designed for people with intellectual disability, can help explore and develop understanding of the complex and abstract concepts of relationships, feelings, and self-esteem & The How to Hear Me Resource Kit: covering Issues such as communication, social disadvantage, discrimination, vulnerability, and cognitive issues, and counselling approaches that are known to be effective, and how our practice can be adapted to meet the needs of people with intellectual disabilities.
