Understanding the distinction can be important when planning surgery...

Reconstructive surgery is typically performed to restore form or function following injury, illness or congenital conditions. Cosmetic surgery focuses on changing appearance for aesthetic reasons. In some cases, procedures may qualify as both, depending on medical need and assessment criteria.

During consultation, Dr Paul Belt provides clear guidance on classification, eligibility for possible rebates and what can be expected from surgery. This helps patients make informed decisions ~ clinically, financially and personally.

Breast augmentation (breast implant surgery) planning involves more than choosing a size. It’s finding the right balance in proportion, planning and personal aesthetic goals.

During consultation, Dr Paul Belt takes into account your chest width, tissue composition and existing breast shape when discussing implant options. By using 3D simulations, he can help you visualise how different implant sizes, shapes and placements may appear so you can make an informed decision with an approach that feels suited.

In Dr Belt's collaborative process, every plan is personalised to align clinical insight with your own preferences and goals.
