Did you know that Ayurveda, the ancient science of life, beautifully weaves together the fundamental elements of nature and the unique energy patterns known as doshas?

The 5 Elements:

Earth ๐ŸŒ
Water ๐Ÿ’ง
Fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Air ๐ŸŒฌ
Ether (Space) โœจ

The 3 Doshas:

Vata (Air + Ether) ๐ŸŒฌโœจ
Pitta (Fire + Water) ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’ง
Kapha (Earth + Water) ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ง

๐Ÿค” How are they connected?

โœ… Earth & Kapha: Both embody stability, groundedness, and nourishment. Think of the solid foundation of the earth and the nurturing qualities of Kapha.

โœ… Water & Kapha: Fluidity, cohesion, and coolness link water and Kapha. Imagine the soothing and calming nature they share.

โœ… Fire & Pitta: The transformative power of fire and Pitta go hand in hand. Both represent digestion, metabolism, and the energy of transformation.

โœ… Air & Vata: Mobility, lightness, and movement connect air and Vata. Picture the gentle breeze and the dynamic, ever-changing qualities they share.

โœ… Ether & Vata: The spaciousness and expansiveness of ether align with the airy and spacious nature of Vata.

Ayurveda teaches us that maintaining a harmonious balance among these elements and doshas is key to optimal health. Whether you are dominant in Vata, Pitta, or Kapha, understanding this connection can guide you on your journey to wellness.

In the ancient science of Ayurveda, AMA refers to toxins that accumulate in our bodies due to improper digestion and lifestyle choices. These toxins can lead to various health issues and disrupt our overall balance. Understanding and addressing AMA is crucial for achieving optimal health and vitality.

๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐€๐Œ๐€?

AMA is the residue of undigested food that forms in the digestive tract when our digestive fire 'Agni' is imbalance. When Agni is not strong enough to fully digest the food we consume, it creates a sticky, toxic substance called AMA. This AMA circulates in the body, blocking channels and disrupting the natural flow of energy. These toxins can lead to fatigue, digestive disorders, skin problems, and even more serious health conditions. By eliminating AMA, we can rejuvenate our body, improve digestion, and enhance our overall well-being.

Ignite Your Digestive Fire: Understanding 'Agni' according to Ayurveda

In Ayurveda, the digestive fire, known as โ€˜Agniโ€™, plays an important role in our overall health and well-being. Agni is responsible for breaking down the food we eat, extracting nutrients and eliminating waste. Understanding your Agni type can empower you to make healthier dietary choices. The aim is to have balance digestive fire.

Mandagni (Low Digestive fire): If you often experience bloating, heaviness after meals or slow digestion, you may have Mandagni. To support this type of Agni, choose light, easily digestible foods and incorporate spices like ginger and cumin into your meals.

Tikshnagni (Sharp digestive fire): Tikshnagni indicates a strong, intense digestive fire. People with this type tend to have a robust appetite and quick metabolism. However, an imbalanced Tikshnagni can lead to acidity or inflammation. Balance it with cooling foods and mindful eating practices.

Vishamagni (Irregular digestive fire): Vishamagni can fluctuate, leading to unpredictable digestion. You might experience alternating bouts of constipation and diarrhoea. Regular eating will help with stabilising Vishamagni.

In Ayurveda, Moong bean is a queen of legumes !

It can also be spelt Mung bean. So, donโ€™t get confuse Moong bean and Mung bean are the same. It has sweet and cooling qualities to nourish tissue and improve immune system and the same time it is light and easy to digest that is why it helps with weight loss. It is also alkaline in nature and rich in vitamin C which helps with inflammation. It is a good source of protein and if you eat with rice it provides complete protein.

It is available in three different ways -Whole moong bean, green split moong bean (has skin attached) and yellow split moong bean. From these three types green whole moong beans are the heaviest (slightly more difficult to digest) but has good vitality. Green split moong bean (green split moong daal) is little lighter to digest and cook faster than whole moong bean. While yellow split moong bean (yellow moong daal) is the lightest and so, easy to digest
