💜 Our Lives Lived Well Wyla team recently attended a Domestic Violence training seminar on Coercive Control, delivered by Dave Kramer, a Behavioural Science specialist and a passionate advocate for ending Domestic Violence.

The session was part of the HALT Program, a legacy project honouring Hannah Clarke and her children Aaliyah, Laianah, and Trey.

The team walked away with valuable insights on how we can all play a role in recognising coercive control and creating safer communities for everyone.

Today is the start of NAIDOC Week!

It's a time to recognise and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year marks the 50-year milestone of NAIDOC Week and celebrates the achievements of the past and the bright future ahead with the theme 'The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy'.

We want to take this time to thank the communities we work in for welcoming us with open arms. It’s an honour to be walking alongside them to celebrate .

Throughout the week, Lives Lived Well team members will be out in different communities, supporting all types of celebrations.

On May 5, we celebrated the official Open Day of the Dianella Lithgow Youth Program – a day filled with connection, pride and purpose.

The day was opened with a traditional Wiradjuri cleansing sweep by local high school dancers, followed by a moving Acknowledgement to Country from our young Wiradjuri girls. The energy was something truly special.

To see young people from a local school we work with walking through the space, relaxed and confident, reminded us why we do what we do.

Thank you to everyone who made the day possible. It truly takes a village, and we’re proud to be part of a pretty awesome one. 💙💚
