Our team had an incredible time connecting with attendees last week at the Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association conference in Darwin! It was great to talk about our incoming service with HEART 8, and with the amazing support from our partners at IOR Petroleum, deliver some basic exercise physiology assessments while there.

The launch of HEART 8 in May will continue to bridge the gap in health equity by delivering access to mobile lung cancer screening in remote communities across the Northern Territory.

Looking back on the work we did with our partners from Johnson & Johnson and Palm Island Community Company to deliver a comprehensive cardiovascular disease screening clinic on Palm Island last July 🧡

We will never get tired of watching HEART 5 sail its way over the Coral Sea to ensure this remote community could access the medical technology needed to screen and diagnose participants in one visit.

We were proud to take part in a special gathering at Parliament House on Monday announcing a new collaboration with our partners at Novo Nordisk that will assist in earlier detection of chronic liver disease in regional, rural and remote Queensland communities.

During the announcement Dr Gomes formally signed the new collaboration agreement, which was witnessed by Their Majesties King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark during their State Visit to Australia.

We're excited to roll out this new program alongside Novo Nordisk as we work together to support better health outcomes for country Queenslanders!

Together with It's a Bloke Thing Foundation, we're launching a new service across rural Southern Queensland to deliver mobile prostate cancer testing to men.

We’ll be delivering simple blood tests (a Prostate-Specific Antigen test) to eligible men in these areas who have not been regularly checked and could benefit from accessing testing earlier. This test is an important first step in looking after your prostate health, especially for rural and regional men who are nearly a quarter more likely to die from prostate cancer.

Through the support of It’s A Bloke Thing Foundation, we’ll be bringing the service to the doorsteps of St George, Quilpie, Charleville, Miles, and Goondiwindi - no appointment or GP referral needed!

The service will launch in March at the following clinics:

🔸Miles, 7th/8th March (located at the Miles showgrounds)
🔸St George, 17th March (located at the St George showgrounds)
🔸Charleville, 28th/29th March (located at the Charleville showgrounds)

We are looking forward to rolling this service out to more communities in April to support better health outcomes for rural men and their loved ones. For more information about the PSA blood testing service, or to book an appointment, call our friendly team on 07 3162 5310 or email us at reception@heartofaustralia.com.
