I offer Somatic Experiencing support that goes deeper than techniques. Drawing on Drama Therapy, Theraplay & DDP, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Synergetic Play Therapy, I help practitioners notice what emerges through the body, movement, and play — even when words aren’t there.

Some places are already being held.
The circle is forming — for those who have bled, and who now rise in the passage of change.
A few places remain. If you feel the call, this is your time to step in.
From Silence to Song
Now You See Me. Now You Don’t. Now I Rise. Now I Fly.
A pilot project in Somatic Drama Therapy
Menopause is not an ending.
It is the fire that strips us bare.
It is the wings we discover in the ashes.
This project carries the thread of From Silence to Song — the movement from what has been hidden, quiet, or diminished, into voice, rhythm, and flight.
In this six-week pilot project we will gather as women whose bodies have carried the cycles of bleeding, and who now stand in the threshold of change. This work is guided by facilitators who are themselves in the midst of menopause, bringing lived passage into the circle through story, sound, and movement.
Through myth, music, movement, and shamanic remembering, we will honour what is leaving, reclaim what is ours, and rise into the fierce, winged freedom of this next passage.
This is a rare offering — weaving Somatic Experiencing and Drama Therapy into a dedicated circle.

🌿 Who This Is For
This is a space dedicated to those who have shared the embodied lineage of menstruation and menopause — women whose bodies have lived the cycles of bleeding and who now enter the passage of menopause.
It is open to Somatic Experiencing practitioners (SEPs) and creative arts therapists and artists with SE expereince who carry a dedicated interest in creative, imaginal approaches.
💠 Boundary Statement: While I respect that there are many paths of identity, this circle is not for everyone. Its integrity depends on holding this boundary, and at least for the foreseeable future, it will remain so.

🌿 About the Facilitators
This circle is led by Amanda Webb — a psychotherapist, Somatic Experiencing practitioner, theatre maker, and facilitator — together with George Williams, a creative arts therapist and musician.
We both identify as feminists and bring decades of work in women’s spaces. Our shared passage through menopause shapes the music and facilitation, making this offering deeply lived as well as professional.

I am close now to fulfilling a 15 year old life dream to have clients work with trauma by not having to go into their trauma, through intergrating, dramatherapy trauma, touch work and somatic experiencing. Of course it’s still important to hear what brought you in and what themes are there but using asthetic distance through myths and stories and SE to process is a beautiful and powerful way through and you don't have to hunting for the life drama connection …it comes in its own time and with many veiled or explicit easy and life changing in small things.

You're not healing to be able to handle trauma, pain, anxiety, depression. You're used to those. You're healing to be able to handle joy and to accept happiness back into your life.
In my practice I am working to bring this to my clients.

Crossing the divides/Beyond Trauma was founded in 2015 and is a multidisciplinary therapeutic practice dedicated to working holistically and compassionately with Families, and individuals of all ages from toddlers to adults. The central work of the practice are the cutting edge practices of Somatic Experiencing and Organic Intelligence which underpin and support all the modalities of practice, from drama therapy to touch therapy. Having access to this SE/OI lens at CTD/BT, you will learn to track your system and experience your emotions and frozenness as physical sensations in the body and nervous system, discharge, integrate and heal them, bringing over time, peace and fullness into your life.
The principal practitioner Amanda Webb having spent a lifetime of continuous training and practice, as a Theatre Director and child drama teacher, mindfulness clowning, energy healing, integration dancing and touch process, received her Master of Arts in Counselling and Behaviour Management and a Masters of Criminology, from Bond University in 2010. She went on from there to work with criminalized women at Sisters Inside and victims of crime at RAQ, working in one on one and group experiential therapy while training extensively with the Australian childhood Foundation in the Neurobiology of Complex trauma, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, trainings which culminated in her training in a three year training to graduate as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner ™. Now in private practice Amanda continues to study as an “Expert” in Organic Intelligence™ a revolutionary new therapeutic practice for working with PTSD, as a somatic touch practitioner and as a child play therapist in the Child Play Therapy Masters Program at Deakin University.
Working with her you will be guided to gently to organically renegotiate the disorganization in your nervous system and your life caused by stress and trauma. As you are reintroduced to your strengths and as you strengthen your boundaries, you will take back your power and build a strong container to hold your emotions and build your resiliency.
Dependent on your needs, you or your children may engage with this reorganization through dialogue, parts work, therapeutic play, expressive therapies, body awareness, somatic touch practice, mindfulness and somatic acting training (a specific practice for actors and performers wanting to develop performance skills and increase their emotional capacity using embodied theatre practice fused with SE, somatic practice and OI) . Amanda will work with you toward making you whole again by restoring homeostasis to your system, integrating parts of you shattered off because of trauma, and enabling you to cross the divides between the mind and body and to heal the deepest levels of your mind, body and spirit and unify them.
