We want detail, we want clarity, we want answers and we want a say.

Labor and the Greens’ changes will impact every Australian that eats locally grown food and fibre. It’s an attack on food security and the communities that grow and produce it.

Steven Miles must tell Queenslanders whether he is on their side, or on the side of his Labor mates in Canberra. It’s time for him to show some leadership and stand up to his Federal colleagues to protect our vital industries.

AgForce was represented this week in Perth by Cattle Board President Lloyd Hick and Director Adam Armstrong at LIVEXchange 2025, the national live export conference. Their attendance caps off a year of proactive policy work in the live export sector and stronger relationships at all levels of the trade. We would like to thank all those in the live export industry for their reciprocity in our engagement representing QLD cattle producers. 🙌🏼

Live export remains a critical market for northern production and underpins a floor that is integral to the Australian cattle industry. Queensland cattle supply a significant share of the trade, supporting global food security, regional economies, and a modern, professional industry. 🐄🐑

🚧 A win for regional Queensland! 🚧

We’re pleased to share that Labor has halted the proposal to slash rural road speed limits - a decision that reflects the strong advocacy of our members and AgForce.

AgForce firmly rejected the proposal, highlighting that reduced limits would slow freight, increase fuel use, drive up labour and transport costs and further disadvantage regional communities.

A special shout-out to AgForce’s Ruth Thompson, who led the written submission on behalf of members 👏

This is a positive step - AgForce will continue to push for a more productive, safer and efficient road network for regional freight and transport.
