Flood Recovery Needs Flexibility, Not Bureaucracy 💧
"While it's been a great start to the wet season for a lot of people, it's also been far too much rainfall for many. Our thoughts and efforts are with producers who've had catastrophic rainfall in communities throughout Queensland’s north-west.
There are echoes of similar events in 2019, and flooding levels in some areas are exceeding those seen in 2019. It’s a terrible turn of circumstances for producers having to go through this ordeal again.
We really need governments to step up and step into these communities that have been affected so soon after recovering."

📢 New EPBC Guidance: Progress made, major gaps remain for Qld Farmers 🌾
📝 DCCEEW has updated its website, including the ‘updates to agricultural exemptions’ guidance under the EPBC reforms. While this is a step forward, it remains a long way from the clear, practical outcomes Queensland producers need.
💪 AgForce is strongly advocating on behalf of members, working directly with federal decision-makers to ensure Queensland’s on-ground realities are fully understood and to push back on unworkable administrative burden.
⏳ As this issue moves into a critical lobbying phase, member support will be essential. A detailed member e-mail early next week will outline what’s changed, where the gaps remain, and include a clear call to action.
