Lomi Lomi is becoming more widely known and while that’s beautiful in many ways, it also means there are now many versions being shared.

We understand it can be confusing to know what’s authentic, especially when others are using similar names or claiming to teach “traditional old style” Lomi Lomi.

Here’s what we want you to know: There is only one Traditional Old Style Hawaiian Lomi Lomi lineage — and this is it. Passed directly to Dawn Charlton by her teacher, through serving a one-on-one apprenticeship over a period of four years, and held with deep respect, this work is shared exactly as it was taught: with prayer, presence, and the pure intention to heal.

We don’t say this to compete. We say it to honour the lineage. If you feel the call to learn Lomi Lomi, we encourage you to do your research. Ask questions. Listen deeply. Trust your heart.

You’ll know when you’ve found the real thing.

We were blessed to take 33 students of our ‘Ohana on this extraordinary journey to the birthplace of our Lomi Lomi lineage. You have not only honored this tradition but also deepened your connection to the Hawaiian roots and we cannot be more grateful to have been able to share this experience with each and every one of you.

The Hawaiian healing reminds us to look for what brings us joy and prioritise self care - when we get caught up in the busyness of caring for others, it is important we care for ourselves too and keep joy in our lives 🙏💖

The Jackal reminds us that authenticity is important and to live your truth fearlessly. If this card resonates with you, sometimes we need a big dose of truth in our lives, which is where jackal energy is a positive force. Even when finding out the truth of a situation brings pain, it is better to know the truth and jackal energy can be a comfort 🙏💖

Collaborating with my wonderful Lomi colleagues to offer you four hands/duo and couples Lomi massage options at House of Trinity in Graceville has been a highlight of the year 🌺 Due to delays with relocation plans, I am still available for individual lomi massage bookings on Saturdays at Mt Gravatt East.
