All About Living

At All About Living, we enhance lives by providing outstanding in-home care for the aged and disabled.

To ensure that our delivery of service accounts for each participant's unique needs and wishes, we collaborate with participants in order to create care plans that are tailored to them. The range of services we offer as part of our care plans include;

•Personal Care Services – Assistance with self-care tasks such as bathing and dressing.

•Domestic Care Services – Assistance with household chores such as washing dishes and vacuuming.

•Social Support – Assistance with activities such as visiting services, assistance with shopping and other errands.

•Respite Care – Involves temporarily taking the place of an unpaid family carer.

•Centre-based Respite – Involves organising and hosting the social events which are essential to our participants’ mental health and quality of life.

•Lawn Mowing Services

•Equipment Services – Involves the provision of assisted living devices, such as wearable alarms, which make it possible for participants to stay in their own homes. For many of our participants, these services can mean the difference between staying in their own homes and premature institutionalisation. For our participants’ family members, the support we provide gives them the peace of mind of knowing that their loved ones are in good hands when they aren’t able to act as carers. The community as a whole stands to benefit from our participants’ continued participation within it. The support that All About Living provides makes this participation possible. Therefore, our work to improve the lives of individual participants generates positive effects that will continue to improve the lives of many long into the future.

This day also shines a light on the challenges of ageing – from health and social protection to loneliness, discrimination, and financial pressures. By acknowledging these issues, we can work together to create inclusive, supportive communities where older people thrive.

Our mission is to deliver personalised care that keeps seniors living safely and comfortably in their homes, supported where and when they need it. We are committed to promoting healthy ageing through proper nutrition, physical activity, and meaningful social connection.

Let’s celebrate the lives, stories, and strength of our older community members – today and every day. 💛

There’s no better way to spend a spring day than relaxing by the water. Shorncliffe is one of our Men’s Group’s favourite spots to do just that. With sea breezes, beautiful views, and (fingers crossed 🤞) a few fish on the line, it’s the perfect place to unwind, share a laugh, and enjoy good company.

Today our team came together for a morning tea to connect, reflect, and recognise the importance of checking in with those around us.

🌟 A big thank you to the Probus Club Sandgate for the warm welcome this week! 🌟 We had a wonderful time sharing who we are at All About Living, the services we provide, and explaining how MyAgedCare can help people access the support they need.

The group was such a delight – full of thoughtful questions and great conversation. 💬✨

With the Support at Home changes coming in November, we know it’s a time of transition, and we look forward to returning to talk more about what these changes mean and how we can help.

💙 Getting out into the community and connecting with local groups is one of the best parts of what we do. Thank you again to Sandgate Probus Club for having us!

Who we are

At All About Living we deliver personalised home care packages and support to those in need within the North Brisbane area. We are a not-for-profit community based organisation that has over 25 years of experience in providing home support services to enhance individuals strengths and independence.

We specialise in Life Planning, a comprehensive service model that ensures the care and support provided to individuals and carers is seamless, respectful, participant-driven and responsive.

Our participants are eligible to receive services via an ACAT assessment through My Aged Care, National Disabilities Insurance Scheme, Queensland Community Care Services, Veterans’ Home Care (VHC) & Community Nursing Service, and fee for service for those who are not eligible through the assessment criteria above.

A full list of our services are:

Life Planning - a wellness approach that involves assessment, planning and delivery of support that build on the strengths, capacity and goals of individuals, and encourages actions that promote a level of independence in daily living tasks.

Domestic Assistance - helps participants with domestic tasks, including cleaning, dishwashing, clothes washing and unaccompanied shopping.

Personal Care - provides assistance with daily self-care. Includes bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating and getting in and out of bed.

Home Care Packages - provision of Level 1, 2, 3 & 4 Home Care Packages to older Australians.

Nursing – provision of nursing services to Veterans, private participants and eligible persons under the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

NDIS Packages – provides assistance with daily personal activities, participation in community, social and civic activities, household tasks, Community Nursing specialist care.

Social Support (Individual) - assist a participant to engage and connect within their community. Activities include visiting services, telephone-based monitoring services and assisting the person with shopping and other related activities.

Social Support (groups) - provides an opportunity for clients to attend and participate in social interactions which are conducted in, or from, centre-based settings. These activities

are designed to support social interaction and independent living.

Respite Care - provides rest/break assistance to the carer. The carer may or may not be present during the delivery of this service.

Assessment - determination of eligibility for subsidised services, determination of the client’s capacity to undertake activities and/or a specialised assessment such as ‘convenience’. Case Management - is available to clients with more complex needs. It may be short term or ongoing. It includes assisting a client to coordinate their services.

Goods and Equipment - are provided to assist a participant with a functional limitation. Items include those that assist with mobility, communication, personal care and health care.

Home Maintenance - assistance includes repair and maintenance of a participant’s home or yard. Garden maintenance may include lawn mowing and the removal of rubbish.

Transport - assistance with transport either (in our car) or indirect (via taxi).

Allied Health - provision of specialised services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, evaluated group exercises, massage etc.

Meals – assistance with meal preparation and/or pre-prepared, nutritious meal.
