I had the most mindblowing chat with my supervisor yesterday. It was about an indigenous perspective and the power of storytelling- of yarning- to heal. So I've decided- my work is going to incorporate this. It is My journey through trauma, as much as it is the children and people I work with.

So I will start with the now- with my practice this morning.

I received this candle from my dog sitter, who looked after our puppies when we got married. In the last week or so, I've been burning this candle a lot. I've been worried about how abundance will flow if I have to give myself over to this period of research, study and reflection.

But you know what?

Since I've started meditating using this candle and imagining how the abundance will come? It well and truly has. I've had at least 3 life altering chats with serious visionaries, movers and shakers- who want to work with me! And its all happened just through showing up and yarning authentically.

About loss, about grief, about trauma- about this crazy thing called Life and the devine contained within it.

And yes, I believe material abundance will flow from this too...

I just have to trust, to have faith- that everything is in alignment- and it all flows from here...✨️

Was such a joy to share my CARRM program with the Play Anything music therapy team last week. Providing learning and evidence based strategies to my colleagues utilising a trauma informed framework is what I love to do! However you do not need a musical background for the basic training- available to all therapists and educators who work in this space. DM me if you'd like to learn more :)

I always feel, with my group of trauma kids, that when they are able to be present in the moment and experience playfulness and joy with others, that is the moment when the healing begins. This group of educators gets that. Running the training tonight with them was a riot! So much laughing, so much play, so much fun- I loved it! Thanks for having me Building Futures Ipswich!

I had a lovely time in at Glennie Heights C&K in Warwick this weekend! Here we using nothing but rhythm sticks and voice to create catchy songs kids can't help but play along to- all the while providing sensory input to calm the body and regulate and integrate growing brains.

Thank you Guppys Kingston and C&Ks in the Mackay region. This week has been Epic and everything I imagined when I dreamed up this little business.

-It is sharing my knowledge and being bowled over by the love and warmth in centres that are poor in money but so rich with culture and heart and a mission to do right for their kids. Pictured below is the EEC in Kingston Logan complete with a space where kids can go to regulate replete with plants and homemade tents painted with kids hand prints so they can retreat from the world when scared.

- it's an acknowledgement that music is the universal language and being serenaded in Arabic at the end of the session ( such a vibe! Have to share in its own post...😆)

-It's asking for rhymes the educators already use and being witness to the most gorgeous finger play song about nature and its cycles and its animals ( Theres a Gum Tree Growing on a Hill).

Our young kids are so Lucky to have you educators. The passion is really something else...💞💞💞

This weekend we headed to the beautiful Burnett region. We stayed at Bargara and I ran a training at Moore Park Beach. The weather was gorgeous albeit chilly though our welcome was warm. Thanks for the fun filled vibe Kids and Co. I can't believe this is my job!
