💜 HOW DO DOCTORS CHECK FOR SARCOIDOSIS? 💜

One of the biggest frustrations with sarcoidosis is that there’s rarely a simple yes/no test.

A blood test like ACE (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme) can offer clues, but it’s only one piece of the puzzle.

Diagnosis usually means putting multiple pieces together:

🩸 Blood tests → can show inflammation, but can’t confirm sarcoidosis alone

🫁 Scans → help spot swollen lymph nodes or lung/chest involvement

🔬 Biopsy → the gold standard, looking for granulomas under the microscope

😴 Symptoms → because the fatigue, cough, skin lumps, pain and weird random body chaos all matter too

Sarcoidosis is often called the mystery disease for a reason 💜

Many of us spent months… sometimes years… being told it was stress, anxiety, asthma, infection, “just fatigue,” or something else entirely before getting answers.
