That’s a wrap on the Australian College of Perioperative Nurses (ACORN) International Conference 2026!

What an absolute privilege it was for the Qlicksmart team to attend and be part of such an energising weekend.

A huge congratulations to ACORN for delivering a smooth, insightful and inspiring conference. The conversations around perioperative safety grow stronger every year and events like this play a big role in driving that. The Gala Dinner was also a fantastic opportunity to connect and celebrate with colleagues across the sector.

A special thank you to Paul Rea and the Mediquip Pty Ltd team for hosting many of our team members at their booth throughout the conference. Partnerships like this truly make a difference in supporting safer practice.

We also loved reconnecting with friends and colleagues across the perioperative community. It was wonderful catching up with JD Buchert and Stella Yau, whose passion for staff and patient safety continues to inspire us.

🎉 AORN Expo 2026 Recap! 🎉

What an incredible weekend in New Orleans! Co‑Founder Dr Michael Sinnott travelled all the way from Brisbane to represent Qlicksmart, joining perioperative clinicians, educators, and innovators from around the world.

One of the standout moments was celebrating Amanda Heitman BSN, RN, CNOR, who received an award recognising her leadership and contribution to perioperative safety. Congratulations Amanda, such a well‑deserved achievement!

We also loved seeing perioperative nurses get hands‑on with BladeCASSETTE 2.0 (coming soon 👀), SnapIT, and CheckCLIP. Your feedback is already helping shape the next round of updates to improve safety for healthcare workers.

A huge thank you to Penny J Smalley and Marshall Cox for supporting the Qlicksmart booth all weekend. Your time, expertise, and dedication made everything possible.
