Keep in mind the following information about driving when you are feeling sleepy:

- 😴 regardless of the time of day, but there are specific times and situations when sleepiness poses a greater risk.
- Driving during your usual sleep hours or when you have had inadequate sleep before increases the likelihood of a sleep-related accident.
- Due to natural fluctuations in alertness linked to the human circadian rhythm, sleep-related accidents are more common between 2-6am and 2-4pm.

Watch out for these signs of sleepiness:
- Increased yawning
- Slow eye blinks and more frequent blinking
- Shifting in your seat frequently
- Poor concentration, boredom, or restlessness
- Drifting within your lane or over lane lines
- Changes in speed, especially inexplicable slowing down

If you notice a growing number of these signs of sleepiness while driving, it's important to pull over and stop driving.

It is common to hear that babies hate their cots, even when parents enter the bedroom. This is normal when babies are not used to spending time in their cots. Our recommendation is to spend some time helping your baby get used to the space and feeling of belonging in their cot. Once they recognize it as their safe place, they will love it. Do not rush to feed your baby as soon as they wake up. Take a few minutes to soothe them before offering a feeding. This will help establish healthy sleep patterns and prevent overfeeding.
