Dear patients,

We are introducing Quick Consults for repeat prescriptions!

Your GP usually prefers face-to-face appointments for most matters, including prescriptions, but we understand that life gets busy and coming into the practice isn’t always easy.

That’s why we’ve introduced Quick Consults via HotDoc.

Here’s how it works:
- You can request your regular prescription directly from your regular GP.
- This saves time by avoiding back-and-forth messages with reception.

Your request goes straight to your GP, who will:
• Action your request and send via eScript, OR
• Send a direct message back if a face-to-face appointment (or other follow-up) is required.

This ensures a smoother workflow for the practice while maintaining the safety of your ongoing care.

Please note:
- This service is for ongoing, regular prescriptions only - some medications types may need an appointment.
The cost is $35 + surcharge.

Just log into HotDoc app, click on online services & click on repeat prescription. If your GP isn’t showing on the list, they may not be participating as yet or they could be away.

A Warm (and Slightly Late) Welcome to Dr. Matthew Warburton!

We're so excited to officially welcome Dr. Matt to our team!

While he hit the ground running back in February this year, we're finally taking a moment to shout out how lucky we are to have him with us!

Dr. Matt is a UK-trained GP who made the move to Australia in 2008. After two years in rural Victoria, he spent 10 years in Cairns before relocating to Brisbane in 2020.

With extensive experience in all aspects of family care, Dr. Matt has a special focus on skin cancer medicine (skin checks and excisions), general dermatology, and mental health.

Right now, Dr. Matt is juggling life with four kids (ranging from 5 months to 11 years!), two dogs, and a cat, but when he’s not busy with family life, he’s indulging in some of his other passions, like playing the piano, motorcycle riding, and learning German with Duolingo.

He’s currently working towards a part-time Masters in Skin Cancer Medicine with the University of Queensland, so he's always staying at the top of his game!

Dr. Matt is available for appointments on Tuesdays, Fridays, and rostered Saturdays.

Practice Update: Exciting Changes Ahead!

As we step into the new year, we have some wonderful updates to share!

First, a heartfelt farewell (for now) to Dr. Lauren, who is beginning an exciting new chapter—maternity leave!

She will soon welcome her third son into her family, and with three boys to keep her busy, 2025 will certainly be an exciting year for her.

While we’ll miss her dearly, we are overjoyed for this special time in her life and look forward to welcoming her back in 2026.

We can’t wait to meet her little bundle of joy later this year!
