Sharing the Stillness 🍃 Why I Love Sharing Yin Yoga So Much 👇

When a dam blocks the natural flow, everything downstream is affected. The water becomes stagnant, life fades, and the whole ecosystem falls out of balance. In the same way, the stress we carry can block the natural flow within our body and mind, leading to self-doubt, anxiety, low energy, and even self-sabotage.

Yin Yoga offers a gentle way to release that “dam.”
Through stillness, long-held poses, and mindful awareness, we allow the body to soften and the mind to settle. As the tension slowly melts away, energy begins to flow freely again, bringing a sense of ease, clarity, and inner balance.
Instead of always doing, achieving, and moving forward, Yin Yoga invites you to pause, to rest, and to reconnect.

Because sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do for your wellbeing… is simply to be still. 🧘‍♀️

Feeling so grateful to have been part of such a beautiful wellness event hosted by .bymaddison , celebrating women and connection a little early for International Women’s Day. 🤍

It was truly an honour to guide the sound healing session and share space with so many incredible women. The energy in the room was so special, moment to pause, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves before an inspiring morning of learning and sharing.

I’m also so grateful that my daughter was able to join this special event for women. It meant a lot to share such a meaningful space together and for her to witness the beauty of women coming together in support and inspiration.

Thank you again to Madison for bringing together such an amazing group of speakers, each sharing their unique gifts and wisdom. It was so inspiring to witness women supporting, uplifting, and empowering one another.

And to all the wonderful women who attended, thank you for showing up with open hearts and beautiful energy. 🤍🤍

Inversion practice takes time, patience, and a lot of consistency. 🤸At first, it can feel heavy, awkward, and even a little frustrating, and that’s part of the journey.

As your technique improves, something begins to shift. You learn where to place your weight, how to engage less and align more. The effort softens. The body feels lighter. Balance becomes less about force and more about awareness.

The more you practice, the more ease you find,
not because it gets “easy,” but because you get smarter, steadier, and more connected.
Inversions teach us that progress isn’t rushed, it’s built, breath by breath.

✨ A gentle reminder for your yoga flow practice ✨

You might notice there are little pauses between poses in a yoga flow class. These moments are not breaks or hesitations, they are an important part of the practice.

The pause allows your body and breath to reconnect, helping you move with awareness rather than momentum. It gives space to feel the pose you’ve just completed, refine alignment, and let the next movement arise naturally.

It’s not about rushing from one shape to the next or keeping constant motion. It’s about balance, effort and ease, strength and softness, movement and stillness.

In those brief moments of stillness, the nervous system can settle, the breath can lead, and the practice becomes more mindful and sustainable.

So when you show up to class, I invite you to embrace the pauses. They’re where the magic happens, where movement turns into meditation and the practice becomes truly nourishing.

There are so many things to consider...

🌸 Where to teach
🌸 Who to teach (yep, not everyone is your student)
🌸 How much to charge
🌸 How to create a lifestyle that doesn't drain but fulfill you
🌸 And so many other big and little things.
