Jack, it feels like only yesterday Dad and I were excited new parents, bringing you home to our little flat in Manly Id cuddle you and watch the ferry come in to the wharf and you would calm you have definitely been a water baby since those very first days
I would tell you stories and sing to you ( sorry about that )until you were old enough to ask me to stop. 🤣I called you my Prince of Hearts and my bringer of peace not sure on how we travelling with the peace bit 🤣 you have kept me on my toes and I am totally a better person since becoming your mum you have taught me so much x
You have always been a gorgeous big brother, a lover of animals from Spinner to Evie, Oscar, Frankie and Mrs P .
A fabulous helper ,you always have dropped everything to help anyone you care about a beautiful quality indeed You climbed trees, played Lego, cooked with me ,although that seems to have stopped and you’ve always loved good food and a rainy, cosy day.
I remember how proud you were of yourself when you finished your first day of school and even prouder when you finished your last ! Since then, you have fallen in love, been heartbroken, grown, learned, achieved so much in sport, its actually amazing ! shown so much resilience and created a full and amazing life for yourself ! You run , cycle ,row ,camp,triathlons, surf you definitely get amongst it , it makes us happy to see you experience life at its fullest
You may have a small window of tolerance, but you have great taste in friends. You are fun to be around mostly 😉and I love our little smiles and jokes. You’re great to go shopping or on adventure with, and Dad adores rowing with you and having that special bond. You are fabulous son and we are grateful for you every day ###
Our wish for you is that you always remember this: we love you no matter what you do. We love you for who you are kind, funny, interesting, thoughtful and completely yourself.
Stay open to all of life’s experiences. Dive in. It doesn’t matter where you land, because you will always learn something.
