Aloha!
This is the work of the heart!
What an honour to share these words and be immersed in this work. Mahalo Nui (thank you so much) for reading my reflections! 🌺💜🍃
In 2021, already well established in energetic healing and the art of holding space, I wanted to introduce another form of bodywork into my practice that felt truly aligned with my path. I’d felt drawn to Hawaiian wisdom and its way of being for many years, so the loving touch and intention of Lomilomi was the natural direction for me to turn toward.
Finding a teacher with integrity and depth in their lineage was essential for me, as it has always been when choosing my teachers. When I connected with Charlie during my search, I instantly felt at home in my heart and knew I had found my Kumu (teacher)—a Kumu I’m so grateful to have shown me the way.
There was so much wisdom shared during my training with Charlie, and one thing I remember so vividly is this simple yet profound teaching: “If nothing else, touch the body with Aloha.” It’s a guiding principle, gifted to us from Charlie, in the spirit that it was gifted to them, that I carry into every session—a reminder that loving presence and respect are at the very heart of this sacred work.
For me, Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi massage is so much more than a massage—it’s prayer in motion! I recognise that my body is a sacred temple, and therefore, so is everyone else’s. In my practice, each person will be touched and treated as such, with the deepest reverence and loving care.
My practice is centred around slow and nurturing rituals, with a gentle, restorative focus on your nervous system at all times. Whether you’re navigating a challenging transition in life or simply wanting to relax and be nurtured, each session is an invitation to reconnect to your body wisdom, remember your worth, and return to balance within.
I’m honoured to be a transmission of Aloha in this way and am continually inspired by loving connection, especially when witnessing a person bask in the ‘post-lomi glow’ of the fullness of who they truly are. The best part is they’re not the only one glowing! Lomilomi is a magical gift of reciprocity—a quiet afterglow that radiates not just in the receiver, but in me too. Every session is a little healing journey for both of us. 🥰✨🌺
Recently, I realised how unconsciously skilled I’ve become in this work, flowing naturally after years of practice and devotion, like a beautiful dance. There’s always more to learn, but I hope this is an encouraging reminder to anyone starting out to trust the process. Keep showing up in service of Aloha—even if you’re in your head now, wanting to ‘get it right’, with time you’ll rest more deeply in your body and your knowing, settling into your own unique flow and dance as well. 🌊🌺🙏🏻
I offer Lomilomi in the heart of my home, in my warm and welcoming studio nestled by the Berowra bush in Sydney—a place where Aloha wraps around you like a tender embrace. It’s beautiful and so humbling to be in such service.
