🌞 Sunshine Parenting Program – Ipswich Central 🌞

Are you a mum with a baby under 12 months of age? We still have spots available for our Ipswich round of the Sunshine Parenting Program this July ☀️

Join us for six weeks of connection, support, and shared experiences. Whether you're in the highs or lows of early motherhood, this program offers a compassionate, judgment-free space to connect with other mums and build your emotional well-being and parenting confidence.

💛 Led by perinatal peer workers – this is your chance to find your village!

Our next round of Shark Cage® starts soon in Nundah, Morayfield and Mount Gravatt. We still have a couple of spots remaining, so register soon so you don't miss out!

The Shark Cage® program is a seven-week group program which helps women to increase their knowledge around healthy and unhealthy relationships. The program addresses how to recognise when someone is using abusive behaviours and is relevant for women who have experienced some form of abuse in their lives. It also provides participants with the skills and knowledge to be able to model healthy boundary setting for their children.

This program is suitable for women who would like to:
🦈 Increase their capacity to set boundaries
🦈 Improve their assertive communication skills
🦈 Increase the awareness of the impacts of abuse
🦈 Decrease any feelings of self-blame or victim blaming
🦈 Increase their capacity for self-care & kindness to themselves
🦈 Increase connection to their feelings
🦈 Increase their sense of self worth
🦈 Increase connection to their body
🦈 Increase belief in their entitlement to basic human rights
🦈 Increase their ability to recognise a potentially abusive or exploitative person

📣 It’s Birth Trauma Awareness Week, and we’re proud to stand with birthtrauma.org.au to amplify the voices of those impacted.

This year’s theme, “This is Birth,” reminds us that every birth story is shaped by who we are, what we experience, and the care we receive.

While some come out of birth feeling empowered, many others are left with trauma that affects their bodies, minds, and lives in lasting ways.

Birth trauma is preventable. It’s time for action.

We’re joining the call for a National Strategy for the Care and Treatment of Birth Injuries, to ensure every parent has access to trauma-informed, respectful, and timely care.

Peach Tree is committed to working towards safe and inclusive spaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and acknowledges that we have and continue to build our community on Indigenous land where sovereignty was never ceded.

Our Community Fun Day lived up to its name!

Monday was such a heart warming moment - a point of realisation about the community we have created, the relationships we have formed and place we are for parents and babies to land for support. 💕

Thank you to all the mums, dads, babies and kids that visited 🥰

Thank you to all the service providers who had tables full of information and resources. 🙌

Thank you to the businesses that came and provided entertainment. 👏

Thank you to the ladies at Compassion 4 Community for the sausage sizzle. 🌭

And most of all, a huge appreciation to the Peachy team who did the hard yakka in pulling off such a wonderful event. 🤩

A massive appreciation to Aunty Kaylene Bowden and the dance crew from Aboriginal Cultural Incursions - for the cleansing smoking ceremony and for teaching the little 'uns some cultural dance moves! 🙏
