According to what is reported in the Old Testament Judith, inspired by the power of God and escorted by her servant, she entered the military camp by night, to seduce the dangerous Assyrian enemy, General Holofernes. Then, once he became intoxicated, she cut off his head...The canvas below, is a work by the Italian master Caravaggio, the greatest painter in the early 17th century.
