And this is why I teach the work that I do. I know it's a ego rub, but more importantly, it means that Melissa has the strategies and guidelines to really make a difference to her clients.

How well did the PD activity align with what you wanted/expected?

It totally exceeded my expectations. l was really blown away, even though my college tutor had highly recommended this course. It was exactly the sort of course for me, l have studied at University previously, and l am really comfortable with lecture presentations that are heavy on theory requiring lots of note taking. However, the provision of a handout of the slide presentation meant note taking was not too taxing at all. As an almost brand-new diploma graduate, there was concern it may be too much for me, but in fact, yes, it was an awful lot, but l have found it to be inspirational in motivating me to work and study the course materials in an ongoing manner. I purchased the VIP package which included a wall chart showing the strength test and the associated Chapman's reflex point to stimulate, which l refer to on the wall of my clinic, and a USB containing the Advanced Chapman's Reflexes Reset Manual, and all four of the OMG series of E-books, including Hips & Pelvis, Lower Back, Shoulder & Thorax, and Head & Neck volumes. I have printed these all off and have them in separate workbooks on my desk in my treatment room. I did not realise prior to the course just how much high quality educational and practical material l would be provided with, but l am delighted to have a whole new world beyond the diploma opened to me, and to fully embrace that. Paula made everything so fun as well as educational, never boring, and the hands-on work was truly amazing, there were so many excited exclamations coming from around the room as we practiced our new skills on each other and found things that had been painful or restricted were massively improved by these new techniques. I did not expect any of that, and got so much more than l ever knew l wanted!

We are back with another episode of Ask Me Anything this month! Joining us this month is Selena Hagan! 💜

Selena has been a practising remedial massage therapist in Australia for 25 years. She works out of her private clinic in the sleepy suburb of Taroona, in Tasmania, an island off an island.
With a background in sport after studying sport science at university, Selena's main focus and passion is working with athletes and teams, being the lead remedial massage therapist for the Tasmanian Jackjumpers
NBL team.

Selena is the Vice President of Massage and & Myotherapy Australia, Australia's leading massage therapy association, and also is the Chair of their National Conference
Committee.

In 2013 Selena completed the Myofascial Cupping TechniqueTM training where she implemented this on a patient with chronic burns scars. The results have since steered her in a different direction in her career, incorporating cupping into mainstream
treatments and focusing on burns scars. Selena will share her experience of working with a patient with extensive burns scars and the use of the Cupping technique to reduce pain, increase movement, and enhance the patients' quality of life.
