✨ 2025–26 State Nomination Allocations Released
Most states have reduced their quotas this year, but Queensland and the Northern Territory are welcoming more places than before.

After months of anticipation, the Department has officially released the full allocations for each state and territory. Overall quotas have decreased by around 22.5%, and many states experienced noticeable reductions.

However, Queensland stands out this year, with a significant increase of 1,400 additional spots, and the 190 program tripling compared to last year. The NT has also received a boost.

🇦🇺 Below is the breakdown for the 2025–26 program year:

New South Wales
✅ Subclass 190: 2,100
✅ Subclass 491: 1,500

Victoria
✅ Subclass 190: 2,700
✅ Subclass 491: 700

Queensland
✅ Subclass 190: 1,850

📣 Australia Student Visa Update — New Processing Priorities

Starting 14 November 2025, offshore student visa applications will be assessed under three priority groups.

🎯 What You Need to Know:
This update does NOT reduce visa places or approval rates. It only changes how applications are ordered and processed.

🔎 New Processing Priority Levels (from Nov 2025):
1️⃣ Priority 1 – Estimated processing time: 1–4 weeks
For institutions that are under 80% of their international student allocation, plus:
School students
Non-award / short-term exchange
Standalone ELICOS
TAFE students
Pilot training courses
Master by Research & PhD
Government- or foreign government-sponsored students
Students from Pacific nations & Timor-Leste
Transnational education programs
Under-18 subsequent entrants

2️⃣ Priority 2 – Estimated processing time: 5–8 weeks
Institutions that have reached 80% of their allocation
Subsequent entrants where the application does not include a minor

3️⃣ Priority 3 – Estimated processing time: 9–12 weeks
Schools that have exceeded 115% of their international student allocation

2025–26 NSW, ACT, TAS Skilled Migration Quota Update

The latest quota allocations are out for several states and territories! Check them out below:

📍 New South Wales (NSW) - Total 3,600 places
• 2,100 places for the Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190) visa
• 1,500 places for the Skilled Work Regional (Subclass 491) visa

📍 Australian Capital Territory (ACT) - Total 1,600 places
• 800 places for Subclass 190
• 800 places for Subclass 491

📍Tasmania (TAS) - Total 1,850 places
• 1,200 places for Subclass 190
• 650 places for Subclass 491

Starting 1 November 2025, ACS will apply a 3.3% fee increase across all assessment pathway applications, including Temporary Graduate, Post Australian Study, and General Skills.

🕒 Also note: due to the holiday break, processing times may be delayed by around 3+ weeks as ACS clears December–January submissions.
