Today was a big day! I’m so proud to have had the chance to share the Lotus Health and Psychology surrogacy research at the The Marcé Society - Australasian Chapter conference today

Our director Narelle was in Adelaide today, to present our research into surrogacy to the Biennial Marce Society Conference- and look who she found, but another member of the Lotus team, Emma-Grace!

So thrilled to join the Australasian Birth Trauma Association - ABTA board. What an honour!

So thrilled to join the Australasian Birth Trauma Association - ABTA board. What an honour!

A conference is always a great opportunity to learn and expand on practice, but also to network and catch up with friends &colleagues. Narelle was delighted to bump into the extraordinary Amy Dawes OAM, founder of the Australasian Birth Trauma Association - ABTA at the The Marcé Society conference in Adelaide.
Narelle is also thrilled to announce her recent appointment to ABTA as a non-executive director- what an honour to be doing this work!

As a perinatal psychologist, I am constantly concerned for the factors that cause and perpetuate trauma, particularly for infants and children.

Soon, we have an opportunity to influence government process in a manner which might act as a salve to the past traumas perpetrated against Aboriginal and Torres Strsight Islander Peoples.

Maybe we can even reduce future trauma experienced.

We have an important vote to make. I don’t presume to tell you how to vote, but in making your decision, I do hope you will read the Uluṟu Statement from the Heart, to support and inform your decision

As the largest consensus of First Nations peoples on a proposal for substantive recognition in Australian history, the road to the Uluru Statement from the Heart is a long one even without mentioning the decades of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander activism that came before it.
