Flexibility isn’t just for athletes — it’s for anyone who sits at a desk all day.

Yesterday, I was watching Ashleigh at her swimming lesson and chatting with some other mums. One asked what I do, and when I mentioned I’m a physical prep coach starting a flexibility class in Bulimba, she responded, “I really need that!” — then another mum agreed! 🙌

It’s amazing to see people recognizing the power of stretching, and it’s becoming a bigger conversation in wellness — through podcasts, social media, and TV. 🙏

But here’s the thing: it’s not just about talking about it; it’s about doing it. Whether it’s before training or as its own session, *stretching needs to be part of your day* — especially if you’re sitting at a desk for hours! 🧘‍♀️

I can’t wait to meet everyone at our first class this Friday! Starting is the hardest part, but those who’ve signed up are already halfway there. 💪

🏅💖 A moment to remember! My little superstar earned her very first medal at the Run2Cure event today — and I couldn’t be prouder.

Mid-race, she turned to daddy and said, We’ve got this!💪

And she was right — she ran/went on daddy’s shoulders/ walked with heart, courage, and the biggest smile.

This medal means so much more than a finish line — it’s about fun and supporting a beautiful cause.

Well done, my beautiful girl! Here’s to many more! 👟✨

Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of watching some incredible journeys unfold.
⁠
🏃‍♀️ One client trained for and completed the Uluru Marathon — a goal she worked hard for, one stretch at a time.
⁠
🥾 Another pushed himself through the Guzzler 50km and 21km. His words to me were :”If you’re persistent you’ll get it if you’re consistent you’ll keep it, if you’re grateful you’ll attract more of it. It’s been consistency for me for the win this and every week.“

🧘‍♂️ And then there’s the client who simply wanted to move better, avoid injury, and feel stronger in everyday life.

No big race. No crowd. Just a quiet commitment to feeling good.
⁠
The thing is — your “why” doesn’t have to be big.
⁠
Maybe you want to keep up with your kids or grandkids. Maybe you’re tired of feeling stiff after long hours at your desk.
⁠
Whatever it is… that reason matters. And it’s more than enough.
⁠
Movement is personal. Stretching is a form of care. And I feel so lucky to walk alongside people as they figure out what works for them. 💛

4 weeks into life with Jake and Ashleigh, and let’s just say… routine still isn’t the word 😅

It’s more like a beautiful, chaotic juggle — sleepless nights, turbo-charged mornings, snack negotiations, noise levels that defy logic, and laundry somehow still getting done (even if it’s at 10pm).

And this second little one? Snoozing like a champ through it all — screeches, leaps, and all. Like they already know: “If you wait for silence, you’ll never sleep.”

The cuddles, the moments of stillness, the mess, the laughter, the family chaos — none of it’s on my schedule anymore. My tiny boss runs the show.

And honestly? This may be the most beautiful journey I’ve ever been on. ❤️

Building Muscle & Staying Flexible As We Age

It’s not just about the reps or the stretches—it’s about living better outside the gym too.

Do you stretch regularly?
How many times a week are you strength training?
Have you noticed progress—stronger lifts, increased flexibility in stretches and tension release, quicker recovery?

I’m always asking my clients these questions, because it’s not just about what happens during the workout. It’s about what carries over into everyday life:
- Picking up your kids without pain
- Falling and getting right back up
- Feeling strong, balanced, and resilient

Designing smart, sustainable training plans that prevent injury and improve quality of life - that’s what I’m here for. One of my clients has described it as Fitness for Life!

🔁 Habit Check-In: What’s guiding your day today? 🌅

If there’s something you really want to achieve today — whether it’s a goal, a new routine, or just showing up as your best self — what’s getting in the way?

Often, it’s not about effort or desire. It’s the habits we’ve already built — the ones we do without thinking — that quietly shape our days. They become our default settings, our non-negotiables.

But here’s a question worth asking:
Have you taken a moment to reflect on your month so far? Or even your year?

Is there one habit — big or small — that you could adjust to make room for something that really matters to you right now?

Building new habits isn’t about dramatic overhauls — it’s about tiny, consistent shifts. One choice at a time. One moment of awareness. One swap of a habit that no longer serves you for one that truly does.

Whether you have 20 minutes or 1 hour today, you always have the option to take action towards your goals.

Maybe you’re running on adrenaline, rushing from one meeting to the next, starting the day with a nutritious breakfast but then forgetting to eat lunch. Sound familiar?

Here’s a simple challenge: try 1-4 of these steps and notice how they shift your day:

1️⃣ Organise your clothes the night before — one less decision to make.
2️⃣ Start your day with fresh air, a walk, or a stretch.
3️⃣ Plan your lunch and snacks ahead of time. 
4️⃣ Schedule ‘pause’ time — exercise, no screens, and meetings with yourself in your calendar. And actually stick to them!

Sometimes the hardest part is just getting started. Other times, it’s finding something more important than the things that truly matter.
Take a moment to reflect:

🌟 Client Question of the Day 🌟

A client asked me yesterday: “How do you do it? Get up early, maintain your energy, and stick to your training plan?”

My answer was simple: I just do it.

How? I schedule everything in my calendar—whether it’s a training session, cooking, grocery shopping, or household tasks. These meetings with myself are non-negotiable.

We can all have great ideas, but ideas aren’t real until we take action.

Imagine how great it would feel to:
✅ Get up and go for a walk
✅ Get 8 hours of quality sleep
✅ Show up for yourself every single day

The power is in the consistency and the commitment. You can do it. It starts with making yourself a priority.
Let’s make those ideas a reality! 💪

Less is more, and less procrastination means fewer excuses and more results.

I’m beyond proud of one of my incredible clients, who hit her goal on Friday after months of hard work! We’ve been working together since May 2024, and the excitement and celebration when she shared the news was unforgettable! 🎉

Over the last 9 months, we’ve focused on creating healthy habits, flexibility, speed and strength training and taking small steps consistently which has contributed to changing her lifestyle—so these results aren’t a quick fix, but something she now does as part of her routine. Congrats, Ali 🙌 I’m excited for you for the next chapter of your journey! 💪✨
