Our standard consultations of 30mins are the perfect length of time to assess and treat an injury in one area but we know that sometimes you might have a couple of areas giving you grief. That's why we recommend a longer consult if you want us to help you with multiple injuries or areas of the body.

Booking a long consult could help you to feel better and get back to what you love sooner.

Activate Physiotherapy - Our Story

8 years and 2 children ago we began the journey of launching Activate Physiotherapy. What was once a solo physiotherapist working from a first aid room in the distribution centre of a National Company, is now a team of 10 working across our 2 clinics in northern and southern Brisbane.

Activate Physiotherapy was born out of the passion of our fearless leader David Sandison who always knew he wanted to lead a band of like-minded practitioners to provide effective hands on health care to our patients.

After running a successful injury management clinic onsite at a distribution centre Dave decided (while on an overseas holiday) to start a clinic. An opportunity arose when Brisbane based medical centre - Gumdale Medical Centre moved from its previous location in Belmont to a state of the art multi-disciplinary primary care facility in Gumdale’s Eastside Village.

Many a skype call was made from dodgy overseas internet cafes but nevertheless Activate Physiotherapy was born in October 2011. The picture in header was taken on the day after he flew home from Paris, with wife Cassie at the clinic was opening presided over by Federal Member for Bonner, Ross Vasta.
