In December, we were proud to make a significant contribution to Can Assist, with funds distributed among Leeton, Griffith, and Moree. Our contribution is a testament to our commitment to supporting the communities we serve.

Here’s a heartfelt message from Emma Phillips, Executive Director of Can Assist:

"What a treat to spot the Stahmann Webster operation as I head towards Moree to visit our Moree branch. Thank you for the support of Can Assist. As I drive from Sydney to Guyra, Inverell, Moree, and beyond, the distance is not lost upon me and just how far people in the country need to travel to receive their care and treatment."

We’re honoured to play a part in helping those in need and will continue to support initiatives that make a difference.

We’re really proud to announce a new project at our Leeton facility that will transform walnut shell waste into biochar, enhancing our waste management practices, improving soil health, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Biochar boosts soil carbon content, improves nutrient storage, increases water holding capacity, and can enhance fertiliser efficiency. Additionally, it helps sequester carbon in the soil, which will assist in the fight against climate change.

Using a continuous carbonisation technology system, we’ll process 4,000 metric tons of walnut shell waste annually, converting it into biochar.

We are excited to share the journey! 🌱

Here at Stahmann Webster, we are proud to be Australia’s first accredited agriculture company with the Leading Harvest Standard, which is designed to optimise sustainable farmland management as part of a comprehensive assurance program.

As part of our commitment to the ethical and sustainable stewardship of our orchards, representatives from our team recently attended Leading Harvest’s first Australian conference where we discussed the opportunities and challenges in scaling agricultural sustainability across the entire supply chain and brainstormed ways to foster collaboration and accelerate our collective impact.

Following the conference, we will be continuing these discussions internally to strengthen our commitment to sustainability in partnership with Leading Harvest.

Last week Stahmann Webster was presented with the Champion Award from NSW Growing Regions of Welcome (GROW) for being a proactive employer within this program. NSW GROW is an initiative to connect interested people from migrant and refugee backgrounds living in Western Sydney with opportunities in regional NSW. NSW GROW is about providing people with an alternative place they can choose to call home. In this instance, in the Murray and Riverina regions.

Our people come from more than 20 cultural backgrounds and we celebrate all of our communities, whether local or from around the country and the world. We are always on the look out for quality staff who will bring experience, culture and diversity to our staffing body.

Our Bundaberg team is well into our macadamia harvest and it is set to be a strong season given the combination of favourable weather conditions and the maturation of new tree plantings.

Here at Stahmann Webster, we have a significant aggregation of macadamia trees to harvest so it really takes all hands on deck. It’s great to see our team’s commitment to pulling together and doing so safely.

The Bundaberg region is buzzing at the moment and we’re proud to be part of the thriving and productive region. We look forward to continuing to grow and produce top-quality macadamias for many years to come in this community.

Stahmann Webster is a proud supporter of Can Assist, an incredible organisation that gives people with cancer in rural and regional areas across NSW access to cancer care and support services.

We recently provided significant donations directly to Can Assist branches in three of our local farming communities – Moree, Griffith and Leeton, to help provide travel and accommodation for patients to attend medical appointments in major cities. We are incredibly grateful for the role Can Assist plays in our local communities and are really proud to be able to support such a vital community service. To find out more visit:

Stahmann Webster is halfway through our walnut harvest and we thought we would provide a glimpse behind the scenes at our orchards in the Riverina. We’ve welcomed the recent warm weather and the team is showing exceptional morale and collaboration. We’ve been keeping our harvesters, hulling lines and factories all running efficiently and it’s great to see the quality of our produce at a premium this year. Our Swansea orchard on the east coast of Tasmania is also reaping the rewards of the dry weather, with their harvest due to start next week.

Stahmann Webster proudly supports the Clontarf Foundation, which exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and by doing so equips them to participate more meaningfully in society.

We have provided financial support to the Clontarf Foundation for more than 2 years and last month we were able to meet students from the North West Academies during their Year 12 Leadership Camp. We also had the honour of attending the South East Queensland Academies annual cricket carnival in December. It was incredible to see up-close how the organisation is assisting these young men to participate in education and society in such a positive way. We look forward to continuing our support of the Clontarf Foundation and continuing to attend events where we meet amazing students and see how our contribution is making a positive difference.
