Weโ€™re thrilled to announce that Damien is officially back in action at the clinic! ๐Ÿ™Œ

After some much-needed recovery time and a few unavoidable appointment cancellations (thank you for your understanding!), Damien has made a full comeback. His hand injury has healed beautifully, and heโ€™s more than ready to get back to doing what he does best โ€” providing top-notch care to our amazing patients.

Did you know?!

๐ŸŒŸIf you work in an office, you could be sitting for up to 2,100 hours a year. Prolonged sitting raises the risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, poor mental health, musculoskeletal pain and stiffness.

๐ŸŒŸWorkSafe Queensland recommends moving and resetting your posture at least every 30 minutes to reduce these risks.

Ways to move more at work:
1. Build movement breaks into your day โ€“ set reminders every 30โ€“45 minutes to stand, stretch or walk for 1โ€“2 minutes โฐ
2. Reset your posture โ€“ sit tall, roll shoulders back and hold for 10 seconds every 30 minutes๐Ÿ”
3. Move during tasks โ€“ take phone calls standing or walk, use the stairs instead of the lift whenever possible, place your printer or bin further away so you have to walk to it โ˜Ž๏ธ
4. Adjust your workstation โ€“ try a sit-stand desk, or position items so you need to stand/reach to get them ๐Ÿ—ƒ
5. Use breaks wisely โ€“ take a walk at lunch or do quick desk stretches๐Ÿ™†โ€โ™€๏ธ
6. Hydrate smartly โ€“ keep a smaller water bottle so you get up to refill ๐Ÿง 
7. Commute actively โ€“ park farther away or get off public transport one stop early to add a short walk ๐ŸšŒ
8. Track movement โ€“ aim for a daily step goal (10,000 is a good target)๐Ÿƒ

Small, frequent movements add up to better health at work ๐Ÿ™Œ

We are so excited for Francis & Jade as they take their son on his very first skiing holiday!

We've made a change to our group class timetable:

Our Friday Strength & Conditioning with Rhys has moved to 4:00pm every Friday afternoon*, starting on Friday the 12th of September, (formerly Fridays at 12:30pm).
*Next week (Friday, 5th September), will be at 3:00pm.

As per requested by our class attendees, the class will start later in the afternoon to accommodate school and work hours.

If you haven't tried this class yet, nowโ€™s the perfect time to jump in.

Our Story

Physio One is dedicated to providing our patients with the most up-to-date evidence based treatment, to help you to move better, faster. Our experienced Physiotherapists, Remedial massage therapists and Acupuncturists adopt a patient-centred, multidisciplinary and holistic approach towards our treatment. We specialise in hands-on therapy, rehabilitation and exercise prescription, and for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.

We also offer a range of individual and group Pilates and Yoga classes. Pilates at Physio One is suitable for all ages and levels of ability. No prior experience is required since our Clinical Pilates instructors tailor classes for you and any injuries/conditions which you may have.
