❤️‍🔥
・・・
To the extent that we are egos, we are somebodies. We come down and we become a somebody. As that awareness starts to identify as a soul, it immediately feels separate from our mother and everything else. Then we begin to experience another separation, now as ego.

So it’s a separation within a separation, if you will. That’s the descent into more and more dense form, and that form is what we live out as an incarnation. Somewhere along the line in that story, we awaken. We begin to realize we are not only the incarnation, that there is more to us than meets the eyes, and we begin to realize that the more that we think we are, we are. That leads us to re-look at our experiences and to open to new experiences that allow us to enter into other planes of consciousness, other perspectives, other ways of looking at it.

That awakening starts and at first, because you have been in such a thick substance, you’ve been so very entrapped in your story, in your body, in your suffering, that when you awaken there is a joy, a breath… it’s like coming above smog when you fly. But there is also a kind of fear of getting trapped again, and a tendency to push against the stuff you were trapped in. You can use that like a rocket booster to get you out there.

Ultimately though, as you get established more as a soul, more established as just awareness, which isn’t even you anymore, as those become more real, and you become more comfortable in them, you look and you see that the incarnation that you have taken wasn’t an error and it wasn’t failure, and you’re not making mistakes. It is just an unfolding process.

And it’s nothing so personal about it all. Your personality isn’t that interesting. At that point you start to, from a soul’s point of view, inhabit your incarnation, at first resignedly, and then ultimately joyfully, because it’s just God at play. It’s just form, it’s just form.

✨Announcement✨

I’ve recently become an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and folks can now access Medicare rebates for counselling sessions if they have a GP referral/ Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP).

I know that being able to receive support and counselling is inaccessible for a lot of people and I’m so pleased that this will make it more affordable.

Being heard in our pain,
Feeling seen in our reclamation,
Being witnessed in our transformation,
Feeling supported to heal,
These are our birthrights.

Please message if you want to discuss what support and counselling could look like for you.

Hello dear hearts 🌚

There are still spaces available for the next Women’s Circle + Ceramics workshop.

Early bird price finishes Friday!
☀️Tickets in the bio ☀️

In this circle you’ll be invited to rest, connect, reflect, and create.

☽ We will share embodiment practices (this could be meditation, breath work, drum journey, dance, journaling).

☽ We will be gathering during the dark moon phase, and as a part of working with this phase we’ll reflect on something that needs releasing. You’ll be invited to create a ceramic object to represent this.

☽ You’ll be invited to also explore the archetypes of the Goddess/feminine/seasons through creating ceramic sculptures. You could make sculptural pieces, vessels, bowls, or any other small ceramic creation that calls you. Your sculptures will be filled with your intentions and can bring some magic for your altar, garden or workplace. ..

DETAILS
When: Saturday 14th October
Time: 12- 5pm
Where: It Takes A Village Midwifery, 57a Kenmore Rd, Kenmore, QLD
Cost:
$225 early bird / book in by 15th September
$275 regular price
*Two sliding scale/community tickets available for folks with financial barriers*

INCLUDES

☽ Delicious afternoon tea platter (please advise if you need GF/vegan/other dietary requirements when you book) and a selection of teas.

☽ Approximately 4/5 small sculptures filled with your intentions. These will be bisque fired for you. Please note sculptures won’t be glazed.

☽ You’ll be contacted when your sculptures are ready for collection (after a few weeks) and can be picked up from It Takes A Village Midwifery, Kenmore. Or your pieces can be posted to you for an additional fee. ..

You’ll be strongly encouraged to let go of expectations of making something ‘perfect’ and supported to be with the process, embracing whatever you create.

I’m not a pottery expert or teacher, just a fellow explorer of making with my hands and I hold a curiosity about the healing power of interweaving creativity and community connection.
This workshop invites you to come as you are, with you no clay experience necessary.

Bring a friend and come and make some magic with us!

Happy new moon in Cancer! A sign that’s very dear to me as it’s the sign that rules my natal moon (which represents your emotions and the ways we long to be nurtured). The Cancer archetype is about nurturing, sensitivity, intuition, mothering and the great mother that nourishes us. So go and learn your moon sign if you don’t know it already, it’s important! 😂🙏🏽✨

Brisbane Doula- Prenatal & Postnatal Services

Are you pregnant and feeling worried about your birth and what comes after?

Is your precious bundle in your arms, but you’re struggling more than you ever imagined?

During pregnancy I work with women who might have worries or fear about their upcoming birth, or who have experienced a previous difficult or traumatic birth. I work with parents who want to prepare for their birth as the major milestone and rite of passage that it is, and who want to feel fully supported and open to facing the unknown with courage and love.

After the birth I help nurture new parents to feel confident and connected to their baby and their intuition. For new mothers I offer nourishing postpartum meals, brief massage, breastfeeding support and newborn settling. I also provide birth debriefing and professional counselling to support parents to make sense of challenging or traumatic birth experiences.
