I-MED Radiology is committed to maintaining our services to patients and practitioners. This includes patients who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, have flu-like symptoms, or are in isolation. We have a number of procedures in place to prevent the spread of colds and flu-like diseases in our clinics. MONDAY 23 MARCH UPDATE: The safety of our patients and clinical staff is paramount during the current COVID-19 pandemic. In line with social distancing guidelines, from Monday 23 March, only patients will be able to enter our clinics. Exceptions will be made for patients who require the assistance of a carer, if the patient is a child, or for patients having obstetric scans. Each year over 1,500 women in Australia are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month, which aims to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and educate Australians on ovarian cancer diagnosis and treatment. Doctors may recommend imaging scans and investigations to determine the extent and stage of the disease, such as pelvic ultrasound, CT and PET scans.
