Hi, this is the face you make after week 1 studying. Lol. So much to learn. Come with me as I complete my training to become a fitness instructor. 🤗

I want to share that sometimes when you start practicing yoga or meditation, it can all seem a bit foreign and random. Like me with fitness instructor training! Hello confused face....however, let's persevere cos we all have to start somewhere. ❤️

Make space for your yoga practice, selfcare and gym...and I'll make space for my fitness training/studies! ... i know that if we continue on, it will eventually click and become easier. ❤️

Walk with me in 9km walk on 12th Oct!

I have recruited 10 people so far for the walk, woohoo! Sign up and I'll meet you there so we can all walk together.

Join me as we walk to raise awareness and funds for mental health.

9km represents the average number of lives lost per day to su***de. :=(

My PNG family has experienced loss by su***de and poor mental health.

I've experienced s**t mental health and have to work fairly consistently to manage my wellbeing and go down a slippery slope...and I guess on some level has influenced my advocacy, volunteering, and intention to support my communities to:

1) discuss and raise it's ok to not feel ok emotionally and mentally. You don't have to have it all together - who really does have it all worked out perfectly?

2) encourage people to seek help early. Talk to someone, ask for support, don't walk this path alone.

This pic is from my 9km walk last year - I was post shoulder injury, sad, carrying extra weight, shoulder and back pain, feeling a bit flat and the walk and community inspired me to keep showing up for physio and with my recovery plan. ###

You can walk wherever you are, if you are in Bris or not. For lives lost and to encourage people experiencing a hard time now. We see you and send love. xx

🌎 It is World Su***de Prevention day today and tomorrow to raise awareness about mental health and also break shame about not feeling well and mental illness and conditions. Timely reminders that it's OK to not feel happy all the time and yucky. There is no shame in asking for support or saying -- give me some space and time. ✨️✨️✨️

When someone has a broken bone or physical illness, people are patient and understanding. Not always with mental illness.

Did you know on average in Aust, 9 people per day tragically lose their lives to su***de? In PNG, we don't collect data but doesn't mean that people are not experiencing high levels of mental stress Horrible info...sending my love to people impacted by su***de or poor mental health. We see you. xx

How do you move in the world?

Perhaps with eyes wide open soaking up the colours around us....that's how I'd like to move in the world. Steady. Calm. Present.

Not rushing, looking up at my surroundings.

The other day, I was rushing....and then I forgot my luggage for the airport and my sandal broke! A timely and practical reminder to slow tf down!

And yes, even yoga teachers can get it wrong and be in a rush and not living as consciously or mindfully as I/we would like.
