2025

The year I chose to RECEIVE 🤍
(and learned just how uncomfortable that can be).

My goal was to Receive:
downloads, intuition, money, support, love, friendship.

What I didn’t realise… was how much unlearning this word would require. As women, we’re masters at deflecting… Compliments, support, help, ease. And if I’m honest, especially me.

This year, every decision came back to one question:
Am I deflecting receiving… or am I willing to open?

You don’t need more Pilates to fix your shelf…

Because your C-section belly isn’t necessarily a strength issue.
It’s a scar + fascia + nervous system issue.

Here’s what you actually need to understand:

Your shelf forms because the tissue under your scar is tight, protective, and glued down.. not because your core is weak.

Your lower belly feels “switched off” because
your brain lost connection to the area cut through during surgery.

And this is why more Pilates, more TVA cues, more “engage your core” does NOTHING…
because you can’t strengthen what your brain can’t find.
It’s called dissociation!!

And I’m not saying you shouldn’t do Pilates in your rehab - I absolutely believe in it.
But if you’ve been doing it and it’s not strengthening or changing your belly the way you want, you need to complement it with the REAL foundations your post-surgical body is missing.

And those foundations are:

✨ Scar release to unstick the layers
✨ Deep fascial massage to free the tension pattern
✨ Nervous system reconnection to bring sensation and control back
✨ Breath into ribs, belly and womb to restore mobility and to re-associate this forgotten area
✨ THEN deep core rehab, from the inside out

✨ SCAR TRANSFORMATION ✨

My patient had multiple laser treatments very early in her healing, which unfortunately triggered excess collagen production in the healing stage and led to keloid scarring, her scar was not keloid before this. 😔

Keloid scars are notoriously tricky, and I never guarantee results- so seeing these little changes genuinely surprised me. These photos are after just 3 sessions, and she’ll continue her healing journey from here.

AND CAN WE TAKE A MOMENT FOR HER BELLY BUTTON 👏🏼🤤

You can barely see the laparoscopic scars from her appendix removal but you can clearly see how much tension her navel was holding before treatment.

This is why I bang on about optimising breath….

A shallow, uncoordinated breath = dense scar tissue, adhesions, an unregulated nervous system and dissociation.

Your body stops recognising this area and starts working around your scar instead of through it.

If you’re wondering if this is you… This pattern shows up in 95% of the C-SECTION, FERTILITY and ENDO patients I see.
If your shelf won’t shift or your abs won’t activate, this is usually why.

In the after video, you can clearly see how a breath deepens- mobilising the scar tissue, creating associations with your womb and scar.

You now have your breath as a tool to regulate your nervous system and your body can begin to function THROUGH your scar.
From there, your core can finally do its job.

Last week I used NET (Neuro Emotional Technique), inner child healing & future self work with a women who’s been TTC for over 2 years.

I don’t post much about the work I do in this space (yet!), but it’s genuinely one of the greatest honours in my clinical work.

Fertility work is about getting a woman back into her body in a way that feels safe and supported.

To me, abdominal and womb work is essential on this journey, helping a woman to:
• reconnect to her body and womb
• soften the tissue in her abdominal wall
• let go of guilt, shame, sadness, pressure she’s been holding
• allow her nervous system to soften
• increase blood flow, lymph flow and space through the pelvis

This work doesn’t claim outcomes, it doesn’t promise pregnancy but it does support the woman behind the journey- her body, her physiology, her emotional load, her regulation.

And that matters more than people realise.

So often I see womb disconnection in women healing from C-section, endo, or fertility challenges.
Because for so many, it simply hasn’t felt safe to send energy here.

When we bring breath and nervous system safety back into the womb space… everything starts to shift.

The body softens.
The energy moves.
And women begin to trust and work with this part of their body, not against it.

I’m just so obsessed with this work and witnessing the physical, energetic, and spiritual changes that unfold when the womb finally feels safe again. 🩷
