Workplace wellbeing goes beyond flu shots and annual health checks it’s time we normalise skin checks at work.

Did you know that skin cancer is the most common cancer in Australia? Early detection is not only lifesaving but also reduces downtime, treatment costs, and the impact on productivity. A simple skin check takes just 10–15 minutes per employee and can be carried out onsite or via telehealth, making it one of the most efficient corporate wellness initiatives.

By investing in corporate skin checks, businesses show genuine care for their teams while protecting their workforce from preventable health risks. Prevention is always more cost-effective than treatment and healthier employees mean a stronger, more resilient workplace culture.

Let’s make skin checks as routine as dental or eye tests. Together, we can create workplaces where prevention and skin health are prioritised.

Skin cancer doesn’t discriminate.

Anna works in a corporate office. She spends most of her day indoors yet a simple skin check revealed an early melanoma on her forehead.

Dave works outdoors. He thought the patch on his neck was “just sunburn,” but it turned out to be skin cancer caught in time.

Their stories are reminders that whether you’re in an office or on a worksite, we’re all at risk.

Here’s what the numbers tell us:

2 in 3 Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer in their lifetime.
More than 1 million treatments are performed every year that’s over 100 an hour.
Around 2,000 Australians die from skin cancer annually most cases preventable with early detection.

A skin check only takes a few minutes, but it could save a life.
This year, we want to make skin checks as normal as annual physical exams. Let’s look after ourselves, our colleagues, and our families.

Did you know that 2 in 3 Australians will face skin cancer before the age of 70?
What’s even more worrying is that many don’t realise they have it until it’s already advanced.

Skin cancer doesn’t always announce itself with obvious warning signs. Sometimes it’s a small spot, a subtle change in colour, or a mark you might dismiss as “nothing.” That’s why regular skin checks are so important they help catch issues early, when treatment is most effective and less invasive.

At The Dermal Health Alliance, we specialise in professional skin checks, dermatoscopy, and preventative care — not just to treat problems, but to give you peace of mind and protect your future.

Take this as your reminder: your skin is your largest organ, and it deserves attention. Don’t wait until it’s too late book your consultation today and make your health a priority.

This is Rob.
A construction worker, a father, a mate on site. He’s like thousands of employees across Australia who spend hours under the unforgiving sun.

On the outside, Rob looks healthy. But years of daily sun exposure mean he’s one of the 1 in 3 Australians who will be diagnosed with skin cancer before the age of 70.

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in Australia and it doesn’t discriminate. It doesn’t always show visible signs until it’s too late. What looks like an ordinary freckle today can become life-threatening tomorrow.

Think about your team.
The men and women who turn up every day on construction sites, driving trucks, farming, mining, or working outdoors.
They’re not just your employees.
They’re people with families depending on them.

We make helmets, boots, and vests mandatory. Why? To protect their safety.
It’s time we treat skin checks the same way.

✅ Early detection saves lives.
✅ Workplace skin checks protect your people.
✅ Normalising awareness means less stigma, more prevention.

Her name is Anna.

She’s a regular employee, just like your team. An ordinary face you see every day in the office, working hard, smiling through meetings.

But what if I told you… Anna has skin cancer?

What isn’t visible to the human eye can sometimes be something far more serious. Skin cancer doesn’t always announce itself and often, it hides in plain sight.

That’s why it’s time to get yourself and your employees checked. Normalising skin checks in the workplace isn’t just about health it’s about awareness, protection, and looking out for one another.

✨ Let’s create awareness.
✨ Let’s make skin health a priority.
✨ Let’s normalise regular checks.

Because here’s the truth most people who are diagnosed didn’t see it coming. Skin cancer often develops silently, with no pain or obvious symptoms. What looks like a harmless freckle, mole, or dry patch could be far more serious. 💉

Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. Two in three Aussies will be diagnosed before the age of 70. That’s not a small number and ignoring it won’t make it go away.

A quick skin check could be the difference between early treatment and long-term consequences.
It’s simple. It’s painless. And it could save your life.

If you haven’t had a professional skin check this year, now’s the time.

Don’t assume. Don’t delay.
Get your skin checked just to be sure.

Would you ignore chest pain in your staff? Then why ignore their skin?

Skin cancer is silent – and deadly when left unchecked. Two in three Aussies will be diagnosed before age 70. That’s not a statistic to brush off.

It’s time to treat skin checks like flu shots – routine, essential, and potentially lifesaving.
