One simple chicken mince mix… endless delicious meals 💛

This is one of my favourite ways to keep meal prep easy, balanced, and realistic during the week 😄

When my kids were little…we were raising a family on one income

And like many women…But because we didn’t understand iteventually I had to go back to work

Not because I wanted tobut because we needed to 💛

Back then, Paul and I were introduced to network marketing…

And honestly?We said no 😅

Not because we couldn’t do it…but because we judged it before we understood it

So instead…we started a little woodworking businessand I ran cooking classes from home 🌿

Looking back now…

I can see I always wanted the same things:✨ more freedom✨ my own income✨ more time with my family

And now I realise…

Sometimes the opportunity isn’t the problem

It’s just how we see it 💭

Did you know beetroot leaves are completely edible too? 💛

Most people throw them away…
but they’re actually packed with:
✨ iron
✨ magnesium
✨ potassium
✨ vitamins A, C & K

I love adding them into simple cooking, soups, or lightly sautéing them with garlic 🌿

Healthy living really doesn’t need to be complicated 😄

I used to think I just lacked willpower 😅

For the cravings
the energy crashes
the “starting again Monday” cycle…

But honestly?

Sometimes our body just needs better support 💛

The more I’ve learned about blood sugar, protein, fibre, hormones and energy…
the more I realised I wasn’t failing

My body was just asking for help 🌿

And I think a lot of women over 40 blame themselves far too much.

I’m one of the lucky ones… I’ve had two mums 💛

One gave birth to me…
and one helped raise me.

They’re sisters.
And between them, they gave me more love than I could ever ask for 🌿

Different roles…
but both a big part of who I am today.

Mother’s Day always makes me stop and reflect…
not just on motherhood,
but on the women who shape us, guide us, and love us in their own way 💛

Because sometimes “mum” doesn’t always look the way people expect…
but the love is just as real.

And I feel incredibly grateful for that ✨

I didn’t realise how often I was doing this…

Not eating because I’m hungry
just… filling time

And I think a lot of us do this

Especially when we finally slow down

Maybe it’s not about food at all

Maybe it’s just a sign
we need a little more time for ourselves 💛

I’ve been learning a bit more about this lately…

Sometimes it’s not just “hormones” causing the chaos during perimenopause

It can also be how well our body is functioning underneath it all

When things feel off…
energy low
more cravings
weight not shifting

It can be a sign our body just needs a bit more support

I used to think I had to push harder

But honestly?

Things started to shift when I focused on
supporting my body… not fighting it

Keeping things simple
eating better
being more consistent with what I do daily

And over time…
I’ve felt more balanced
more like myself again 💛

I’ve noticed this shift lately…

As the weather cools down
my body starts asking for different things

Warmer meals
more comfort
a little more grounding

And instead of fighting it…

I’ve learned to listen

Because especially over 40…
it’s not about restriction

it’s about supporting your body
through the changes 💛

Simple
consistent
and just tuning in a little more
