“Do you need to go?”
“No.” 🙃

Sound familiar?

When accidents happen, it’s easy to fall into questions or frustration…
but the way we speak can make a big difference.

Instead of pressure, try gentle, supportive phrases like:

💛 “Let’s go check together, just in case.”
💛 “Your body is still learning, that’s okay.”
💛 “Oops, that happens sometimes. We’ll sort it out.”

These small shifts help your child:
✔ Feel safe (not ashamed)
✔ Build body awareness
✔ Learn what to do next

Because toileting isn’t just physical—it’s emotional too.

“We were doing everything right… so why the accidents again?” 😩

If your child’s toileting has suddenly gone backwards, you’re not alone.

Sometimes it’s not about more reminders or more pressure…
👉 it’s about timing.

A simple strategy we often recommend:

💧 Full drinks at set times (not constant sipping)
🚽 Toilet sit 15–30 minutes later

This helps your child actually feel when their bladder is full — and learn what to do next.

No forcing. No stress.
Just building awareness in a way their body understands.

✨ Start small: try it once a day (like after breakfast) and build from there.

Save this if toileting has been feeling a bit tricky lately 💛

Ever tried explaining something to your child mid-meltdown… and it goes nowhere? 😅

That’s because their brain isn’t ready to listen yet.

When kids are upset, they’re in survival mode—not learning mode.

Try this instead 👇
👉 Regulate – help them calm their body
👉 Relate – connect and show you understand
👉 Reason – THEN talk and problem solve
In that order.

Because a calm brain can learn…
but an overwhelmed brain just reacts 💛

Want your child to actually want to use the toilet?🚽

Start with the environment.

💡 Try this:
✔ Add a step stool so your child feels stable and independent
✔ Use softer lighting if bright lights feel overwhelming
✔ Include child-friendly items (fun soap, stickers, favourite colours)

Why this works?
When your child feels safe, comfortable, and in control, they’re more likely to stay, sit, and learn.

If the space feels scary or hard to use—they’ll avoid it.

Small changes can make a big difference.
