Awareness is just the starting point.

This month (and every month), we’re focusing on understanding, accepting, and actually doing better for autistic individuals.
Autism isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s diverse, nuanced, and often misunderstood, especially in girls and those who don’t fit the “typical” profile.

Let’s listen more, assume less, and create spaces where differences aren’t just accepted… they’re expected.

April is Autism Acceptance Month 💛

Let’s start at the beginning…what is autism?

Autism isn’t defined by just one thing. It’s a combination of characteristics across communication, social interaction, behaviour, and sensory processing.

Every Autistic person is different. Some traits are obvious, others are subtle. Some children need a lot of support, others less. No two profiles look the same, and that’s exactly why understanding matters.

The goal isn’t to “fix” these differences. It’s to recognise them, support them, and meet each child where they’re at.

As another year comes to a close, our Kids Chatter team will be taking a well-earned 2 week break over the Christmas holidays 🎄✨🎅

We will be closed from 20 December 2025 and will be reopening on 5 January 2026.

We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our families for trusting us with your children, supporting our team, and being part of the Kids Chatter community this year. It’s a real privilege to work alongside you and support children as they build confidence, communication, and connection.

We hope the holiday season brings you time to rest, recharge, and enjoy special moments with family and friends. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, safe, and relaxing New Year.

A little recap of what our team did for our end of year team event! We learned how to make pots and ended the night sharing stories over a wonderful dinner. Great vibes, delicious food, and even better people. Grateful for this incredible team! 🤩🤩
