Today is AUSLAN Day! 🙌
AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) is an essential tool for communication within the Deaf community. Celebrating this day helps raise awareness and promote inclusivity for all. 💬 Whether it's learning a few signs, attending a local AUSLAN event, or simply supporting Deaf culture, there are many ways to get involved. Let’s continue to create an inclusive space for everyone!

At just one day old, Lucas began having seizures and following various tests, was diagnosed with KCNQ2 encephalopathy.

KCNQ2 encephalopathy is a rare and severe form of epilepsy that affects the brain and causes developmental delays.

With the support and care of his family and the Queensland Children's Hospital team, Lucas is now six years old and is a happy, smiley boy who loves interacting with people. 😁

This Purple Day for Epilepsy we're highlighting stories about children with epilepsy, like Lucas, to raise awareness and let families know they're not alone in their journey. 💜
