π¨ Important Update: Changes to NDIS Funding π¨
As of October 2024, the NDIS has made significant changes to what can and cannot be funded under your plan. This new legislation brings clarity to certain supports that were previously funded but are no longer eligible. It's important for all NDIS participants, service providers, and families to be aware of these updates.
β Whatβs No Longer Funded:
Day-to-Day Living Costs: Rent, mortgage repayments, utility bills, and groceries are no longer covered.
Lifestyle & Recreation: Non-modified sports equipment, gym memberships, and recreational activities such as concert tickets or theme park entry.
Health & Wellbeing: General health-related costs like prescription medications, vitamins, dental care, and private health insurance.
Travel: Holiday accommodation, airfares, and fuel for personal vehicles.
β
Whatβs Still Covered:
On the flip side, essential supports like assistive technology, personal care, transport for community access, and support coordination will continue to be funded.
For a detailed breakdown of what supports are still eligible, feel free to contact us or visit the official NDIS website.
