We LOVE a strength win like this 🙌🔥

Christine has been absolutely smashing her Single Leg Sit to Stands lately — and the progress has been incredible 💪

When she first started working on this movement, it was tough (as it should be 😉). Single leg strength challenges your balance, control, and power all at once. But through consistent training, focused technique, and showing up week after week, Christine has built so much strength and confidence.

Why do we love Single Leg Sit to Stands?
✔️ They build strong glutes and quads
✔️ They improve balance and stability
✔️ They help reduce falls risk
✔️ They support everyday movements like stairs and getting out of a chair

Christine is the perfect example of what steady progress looks like. No shortcuts. Just commitment, effort, and continual improvement 💥

We are so proud of you Christine! Watching you get stronger every week is exactly why we love what we do 💙

If you’re ready to build strength that supports your life, our EP team at Coordinated Fitness is here to help.

Exercise isn’t just about physical strength - it’s one of the most powerful tools for mental health. Regular movement can:

🌈 Boost your mood by releasing feel-good endorphins
😌 Reduce stress & anxiety by calming your nervous system
😴 Improve sleep so you wake up feeling more refreshed
🧠 Increase focus & confidence in daily tasks

Not sure where to start? Keep it simple 👇

✔️ Start small — even 10 minutes counts
✔️ Choose something you enjoy (walks, dancing, stretching, gym, yoga)
✔️ Be consistent, not perfect
✔️ Move for how it makes you feel, not how it makes you look

❓ Do Crunches Give You a Flat Stomach? 🤔

It’s a question we get asked all the time! The short answer: no, crunches alone won’t give you a flat stomach. 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♂️

While crunches are a great exercise for strengthening your core, they’re not magic when it comes to shedding fat in one specific area. 😅 In fact, spot reduction (the idea that you can target fat loss in just one part of your body) is a myth.

A flat stomach (or any visible abs) comes down to total body fat loss, and that's a combination of:

✅ Balanced diet – eating clean, nutrient-dense foods and maintaining a calorie deficit if fat loss is your goal.

✅ Full-body exercise – engaging in regular cardiovascular activity and strength training to burn calories and build lean muscle.

So, while crunches definitely help strengthen your abs, don’t forget to pair them with the right nutrition and full-body workouts to truly see the results you’re looking for. 💪

Remember: consistency is key! 💯

Why is Balance Training So Important for People Living with Parkinson’s Disease?

Living with Parkinson’s can affect posture, movement and reaction time — which is why balance training plays such a vital role in staying safe, confident and independent.

At Coordinated Fitness, we focus on helping our Parkinson’s community move with confidence through targeted, supervised exercise programs led by our accredited Exercise Physiologists.

Here’s how balance training helps:

🧠 Improves posture and body awareness – Strengthens the muscles that keep you upright and helps your body respond when you start to lose stability.
🚶‍♂️ Reduces the risk of falls – Trains reaction time and stepping strategies to help manage slips, trips and uneven surfaces.
🦵 Builds strength in legs and core – Stronger support muscles mean better stability for walking, standing and daily tasks.
🔄 Boosts confidence in movement – Makes turning, changing direction and getting up from chairs feel safer and more controlled.
💙 Supports independence and quality of life – Helping you keep doing the things you enjoy.

If you or a loved one is living with Parkinson’s, our team is here to support you with individualised, evidence-based balance and strength programs in a safe, welcoming environment.

💧 What Health Conditions Is Hydrotherapy For? 💧

Hydrotherapy is a gentle yet powerful way to move your body, build strength, and improve confidence in a safe, supported environment. The warmth and buoyancy of the water reduce the impact on your joints while providing natural resistance—making it suitable for a wide range of health conditions.

At Coordinated Fitness, our Accredited Exercise Physiologists design individualised hydrotherapy programs based on your assessment, goals, and health needs, so every session is tailored specifically to you.

✨ Hydrotherapy Can Support People With:

🦴 Arthritis & Joint Pain (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis)
💙 Chronic Pain Conditions (back pain, fibromyalgia, persistent pain)
🧠 Neurological Conditions (Parkinson’s disease, stroke recovery, MS)
🏃‍♂️ Injury Rehabilitation & Post-Surgery Recovery
🩺 Diabetes (Type 1 & Type 2)
⚖️ Balance & Falls Risk
❤️ Cardiovascular Conditions (under EP guidance)
👩‍🦰 Women’s Health Conditions (pelvic pain, post-partum recovery, menopause support)

The water helps you move more freely, exercise with less discomfort, and build strength and confidence at your own pace—while being fully supervised by an Exercise Physiologist every step of the way.

💧 Why Choose Hydrotherapy? Discover the Power of Exercising in Water 💧

Hydrotherapy is more than just exercising in a pool—it’s a safe, effective, and empowering way to move your body, build strength, and improve your overall wellbeing. The natural properties of water make it one of the most supportive environments for exercise, especially if you’re managing pain, injury, or a chronic health condition.

At Coordinated Fitness, our Accredited Exercise Physiologists (EPs) create individualised hydrotherapy programs based on your personal assessment, goals, and health needs—so every movement has a purpose and every session moves you closer to feeling stronger and more confident.

✨ Benefits of Hydrotherapy:

🌊 Low Impact, High Support: Water reduces the load on your joints while still providing resistance to build strength.

⚖️ Improves Balance & Stability: The water challenges your balance safely, helping reduce falls risk.

💪 Builds Whole-Body Strength: Gentle resistance in all directions helps strengthen muscles without strain.

💙 Pain & Stiffness Relief: Warm water can help ease muscle tension and joint discomfort.

🚶‍♀️ Boosts Confidence in Movement: A safe environment to move freely and rebuild trust in your body.

Our EPs take the time to understand you—your condition, your abilities, and your goals—then design a program that adapts as you improve, ensuring you continue to progress at your own pace.

Ready to experience the difference water-based exercise can make? 🌟
