Back-to-back babies and chronic knee arthritis… every extra kg of body fat can feel like up to 4x the force through joints 😖 No wonder the pain’s been horrendous lately. Add to that the general discomfort in my clothes - something has to change.
So, I’ve started my weight loss journey — not out of vanity, but out of self-care. I want to get back to feeling like me again, move without pain, and give my family the best version of myself ❤️
I’ve been focusing on mindful eating, tracking my food, and learning what my true calorie needs are — not starving myself, just creating a realistic calorie deficit. (If you want to find yours, start by working out your maintenance calories, then aim for around 300–500 calories less per day depending on your goals.)
Feeling more in control already — and down 4kg (about 9lbs!) in my first week 🙌🏽 Still a long way to go (aiming for another 16kg), but it’s a start.
