That’s a wrap on my 2025 with 🥊
So grateful for the opportunities, the networks, and the friendships that came from this place.

What started as a short-term, wildcard opportunity somehow turned into something I never want to leave.

So thankful to be part of a community that shows up, supports each other, and helps us raise strong, resilient kids.

It really does take a village — and mine just happens to look like a boxing gym. ❤️ I can’t wait for 2026! 💪 🥊

Let’s talk about Sarcopenia … the muscle loss that naturally happens as we age.

From around our 30s onward, we start losing muscle every single year. And without strength work, that loss speeds up. This is why people suddenly feel “weaker,” “slower,” or more tired in their 50s, 60s and beyond… it’s not just age. It’s muscle loss.
The good news? You can absolutely fight it.

Strength and resistance training is hands-down one of the most powerful things you can do for your long-term health. Just 2–4 sessions per week can:
• Build and maintain muscle
• Keep your bones strong
• Reduce injury risk
• Improve balance and mobility
• Boost confidence and independence
• Support healthier ageing (and make the later years way more enjoyable)

Back-to-back babies and chronic knee arthritis… every extra kg of body fat can feel like up to 4x the force through joints 😖 No wonder the pain’s been horrendous lately. Add to that the general discomfort in my clothes - something has to change.

So, I’ve started my weight loss journey — not out of vanity, but out of self-care. I want to get back to feeling like me again, move without pain, and give my family the best version of myself ❤️

I’ve been focusing on mindful eating, tracking my food, and learning what my true calorie needs are — not starving myself, just creating a realistic calorie deficit. (If you want to find yours, start by working out your maintenance calories, then aim for around 300–500 calories less per day depending on your goals.)

Feeling more in control already — and down 4kg (about 9lbs!) in my first week 🙌🏽 Still a long way to go (aiming for another 16kg), but it’s a start.

Throwback to my QPICC days 🏉💙

Volunteering at this carnival was one of the best experiences I’ve had! It opened so many doors, created friendships that are still going strong 10 years later, and gave me a front-row seat to the growth of our Pacific and Māori communities in rugby league.

Most of my time was proudly with Team Samoa 🇼🇸 (plus a stint with PNG 🇵🇬 and a bit of a dabble with Māoris and Tonga). One of my standout favourite memories was organising the U16s Girls Pacific Nations Cup — because they weren’t being included. The event was such a success that girls were added to the main carnival the following year 🙌🏽

I’m so grateful for that chapter — the people, the purpose, the pride. And I’m equally glad to have stepped away now, knowing I helped build something special ❤️

Thought I was pretty strong… until a postpartum floor Pilates class absolutely humbled me 😅💀
No weights, no barbells — just bodyweight, breath work, and a whole lot of pelvic floor control. My legs were shaking by the end.
A good reminder that strength looks different in every season — and rebuilding from the inside out is its own kind of power 💪✨
