We’ve shaken off the winter hibernation and packed up the chips, now we’re on the move!

Chips & Chat is heading to Picabeen Community Centre for a new season of honest conversations, and real connection, (with plenty of healthy snacks on the side).

New venue. Real chats. Genuine connection.

Look forward to see you on 24th September.

Tonight!
Is our May Chips & Chat mental health meetup.

Come along or join us online.
Please message us for the zoom link.

Sonja will be joining us via zoom, as her winter hibernation has started early with a head cold.

See you tonight from 6-7:30pm
Arana Hills Library.

This Wednesday, the 28th, is our final Chips & Chat before we head into our winter hibernation, resting like chips in a bag before we crunch back into action in September.

We’ll be chatting about the little things that help on the tough days and adding fresh ideas to our self-help card deck. But there’s no pressure to stick to the theme either, this group is all about honest, open conversations in whatever shape they take.

It’s informal, welcoming, and grounded in real experience.
Come for the connection, stay for the chips, and be part of a community that gets it.

Sometimes it feels like time is holding you tight, pushing you to move faster or be “fixed” by a certain moment.
But the truth is, your journey isn’t on anyone else’s schedule.

It’s okay to take the time you need, whether that means quick steps forward, slow and steady ones, or even pausing for a while.

What matters most is that you move in a way that feels right to you. Progress is personal, and your pace is exactly what it needs to be.

See you Wednesday 28th May.

Some support doesn’t just pass through, it sticks with you.
At Chips & Chat, the conversations we have aren’t just about what’s said in the moment, they’re about what stays with you long after. It’s the kind of support that lingers, built on shared experience, honesty, and a genuine understanding of what works.
Whether it’s a piece of advice, a comforting word, or just knowing you’re not alone, some support really does stick, and it’s here for you whenever you need it.

At Chips and Chat, we believe in the power of shared experience. Whether you're figuring things out or just need a safe space to land, we’re here.
It’s real talk, real tools, and real people, who know what it’s like to live with mental health challenges.

No meet up this month, but we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 28th May.

This is a space where we talk about what actually helps, the messy, honest, trial-and-error kind of help.
At Chips & Chat, we swap stories, strategies, and the many tasty chips.
It’s about community, not perfection.
Run by people who get it, for people who need it.

***

We’ve had to postpone this month’s meet-up due to unexpected circumstances (life does that sometimes), but we’ll be back on Wednesday 28 May at 6pm.
This little break also gives us time to put the finishing touches on our new mental health cards.
We can’t wait to share them with you!

𝙉𝙤𝙩 𝘼𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥.
Chips and Chat is where lived experience meets real-life strategies. No awkward icebreakers or forced sharing, just honest conversations, practical ideas, and a community that gets it.
We talk mental health in a way that’s human, hopeful, and maybe even a little bit funny.
And yes, there are (healthy) snacks.

Navigating mental health challenges becomes easier when we learn from others, seeing how they support themselves can spark new strategies for our own journey, reminding us that we're never in this alone.

At our last Chips & Chat meetup, we brainstormed tried-and-true mental health tips and life hacks that everyone can use. We’re now creating our own wellbeing cards, practical, real-world tools with a twist, designed to bring a smile to your face.
We’ll be continuing this at our April 30th meetup, so join us to help shape these unique cards.

Tonight we have our monthly Chips & Chat mental health meetup.

We’ll be chatting about and workshopping ways to calm, self soothe, build coping strategies and develop ways to navigate life when it feels a bit overwhelming and we need to access a few tools in our toolbox.

Together, we’ll create a fabulous toolbox to make into usable well-being cards.

Come along in person on join us online (message us via our page for the Zoom link and password)

6-7:30pm
Arana Hills Library.

See you tonight!

We hope everyone is safe and secure after the crazy weather event that was named Alfred. Many people were affected with power and internet outages and flooding damage. We hope everyone is coping OK and that life is starting to feel back to somewhat normal again.

When life brings stressful and unpredictable moments, it can feel overwhelming and may leave us feeling unsure about how we will cope. Often we can use coping strategies and little tricks to help us feel more at ease and able to navigate moments of stress and worry.

So, for our next Chips & Chat Mental Health Meetup, we're going to chat about real-life and helpful strategies to support ourselves when feeling activated or uncertain.

We'll do some brainstorming and write down all our tried and tested tips and tricks, to create our own wellbeing cards as a helpful resource or toolkit.

We welcome everyone’s input, as practical ideas that really work, can be genius life hacks for everyone!

All materials, chips & drinks provided.

If you can’t make it in person and would like to join us online, please message us and we will send you a zoom link and password.

See you all on Wednesday 26th March.
