Cortisol, Melatonin, Insulin, Ghrelin etc etc etc

These are all hormones.

Hormones are messengers that use your blood stream to travel throughout your body to your tissues and organs.

If you are producing too little or too much of any of these hormones, it can make you I’ll and can also upset your hunger, energy, cravings, sleep and mood and lead to weight gain, fat storage, insulin resistance and fat loss resistance.

So, you may want to start here with sleep! Get your sleep right (easier said than done I know) and you may start the road to recovery.

You may wake refreshed, have more energy, feel more engaged and be able to fight off cravings!

Have you scrolled through this page and read all of the amazing testimonials about how the busy women who have gone through the Metabolise Me program did it? How did they do it?

1. They learned the science behind their metabolism. Eating less and exercising more was not an option for them because of our intense lives. Once they understood how to manipulate their metabolism and give it that boost it needed it was easy to take the weight off without adding any additional stress to their lives.

2. And they did it without loosing their existing nice lean muscle. The Metabolise Me method of eating actually supports muscle maintenance instead of eating away at it. And THIS is important because when weight loss results in muscle loss, it actually decreases your metabolism, making it really difficult to keep the weight off.

3. Decreasing caffeine consumption from several cups to one cup of coffee per day. The massive amounts of caffeine many of us rely on due to low energy levels are very likely wearing out our adrenals and causing our bodies to release more cortisol (hence making us MORE tired!). High cortisol levels actually cause the body to store fat, even if you're not eating extra calories - yikes.

4. Many of my clients need flexibility while traveling. Eating (and drinking alcohol!) while traveling is extremely challenging when trying to lose weight, which is why we dedicated much of the course to "real life" eating situations - travel, vacations, weekends, dining out, drinking alcohol, holidays, etc. Because we want to live right? And we do not want to feel deprived or that we are going without. So we plan for the good times.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing MM members feel good about themselves. Nothing.

Each story I share has a different, amazing women behind it. With a different story. Different backgrounds. Different health histories. Different food preferences. So, it just shows how this method doesn't just help one type of person in one type of box.

Consistency with a method that is so damn easy to make consistent.
The problem with other "diet" programs is that they set you up to make it impossible to stay consistent. Can you honestly say you've ever truly stuck with another program and it just didn't work? Probably not. It probably just wasn't sustainable.

“How to avoid weight loss resistance and metabolic distress”

* Manage your mind and stress levels
* Don't spike your cortisol levels in the morning
* Eat Carbs!

There is a pattern here, all 3 of these strategies - manage your mind, don’t spike cortisol in the AM, and eat your carbs - mitigate the body’s stress response.

And it’s really as simple as that. An overstressed body leads to a broken metabolism. Metabolic distress.

When we ditch carbs completely our adrenals pump out cortisol, which, in turn, makes us feel productive, energised, and less inflamed. Running off stress hormones feels great...until it doesn’t. 😔

For some of us, weight loss resistance and fatigue stemming from keeping our bodies being in a constant state of stress will start to manifest in a few months, and for others, it may be a few years.

If you’re experiencing weight loss resistance, no.matter.what.you.do., then your metabolism is already theoretically broken (it’s ok!! We can fix that!!).

Here are 5 Warning Signs:

* You don’t sleep well. This could be trouble falling asleep or waking up in the night.
* You don’t know how to sit and relax - you’re a constant busy body and always feeling as though you have to be productive. “Addicted to the hustle” as we like to call it.
* You don’t take rest days. Some may say you’re addicted to exercise.
* You experience extreme bursts of energy and extreme crashes. You’re on or you’re off. There’s not a lot of middle ground.

Q: Do you need to count calories to lose weight ( fat )

A: Not at all

Infact, I coach my clients not to do exactly that. If you eat real, nutritious food and eat slowly, you will feel satisfied and feel the “full” sensation coming on and you will ideally stop eating
 and that’s the perfect way to eat.

You can’t over eat when just eating the macronutrients being: protein, carbs and good fats. Then load up with an amazing arrangement of veggies / salad to get an amazing boost and constant supply of micronutrients : vitamins &minerals from food and you will feel and look amazing in no time.

If you want more energy and want to lose weight naturally, easily and enjoyably
 then try this and stop opening up food from plastic packaging!

You won’t know yourself 😂

Think:

Low fat, low carb soups, salads, scrambles, shakes/smoothies, stirfrys. Eat 90% of your food in this way and you will likely never need to count calories or macros. Why?

Eating for fat loss is about creating a calorie deficit you can sustain over the long run. Not weeks and months, but months and years.

That means controlling hunger & cravings. That means nutrient rich foods that are calorie sparse. That means foods that are tasty but not so tasty they hijack your brains reward software causing you to overeat more highly palatable foods.

Lean protein, plenty of fiber (non-starchy vegetables & low sugar fruits) and water (more non-starchy vegetables & low sugar fruits) are all proven to reduce hunger. Whole protein sources , vegetables & fruit also happen to be among the most nutrient dense & calorie sparse foods on the planet.

Just think salads. Soups are wet salads. Salads are salads. Scrambles are salads with eggs. Shakes are blended protein & fruit salads. Stirfrys are hot salads. And the good news is you can find these salads anywhere you eat.

What about fat & carbs? Nothing wrong at all with them. They are some of the healthiest foods on the planet. They are also the most calorie rich, the easiest to overeat and usually not as nutrient dense.

Fat and starch— along with salt, sugar and alcohol— are fine. They just should be thought of more as condiments to make your meals satisfying and tasty rather than the dominant elements at your meals.

Try starting out January eating 90% of your meals like this. You’ll be amazed at how easy “dieting” can be.
