✨ 2025… what a year! ✨

As we wrap up another year, I’ve been looking back on all the moments that made 2025 so special - in business, in community and in life.

🍎 Nourish Well Dietetics
Working on growing my knowledge and this business in the background will hopefully mean more for 2026.

🏃‍♀️ Parkrun Travels
I also took Nourish Well on the road (literally!) and spent the year ticking off a lot of different parkruns around Australia. Such a fun way to see the country, move my body and meet incredible people.

🤝 Mentoring
At the end of 2025 I completed my formal mentorship that was required after becoming an accredited practicing dietitian. Such a valuable program.

🎙️ QUT Real Health Panel
I was lucky enough to speak on a QUT Real Health panel this year, chatting about diversity in dietetics - something I care deeply about. It felt amazing to be part of a conversation that pushes our profession forward.

🎉 50 Years of Nutrition & Dietetics at QUT
And of course, celebrating 50 years of nutrition and dietetics at QUT was a pretty special milestone too.

Thank you all for being part of my year. I can’t wait to keep nourishing, learning, moving and growing with you in 2026.

Here’s to more adventures, more connection and more kindness toward ourselves.

🎄 Merry Christmas! 🎄

As your body positive dietitian, I want to remind you of one thing today: you are worthy of joy, connection, rest and delicious food exactly as you are.

Eat the yummy food and savour the meal but skip the guilt. Your body doesn’t need to be fixed or food earned before you are allowed to celebrate. Food is meant to be enjoyed, memories are meant to be made and you deserve every bit of holiday comfort and sweetness.

Here’s to soft bellies after dinner, stretchy pants, laughs, quiet cozy moments, and honouring your body with kindness, not rules.

Merry Christmas, beautiful humans 🎁 May your day be full of warmth, flavour, love and unapologetic joy!

It was an honour to be invited to speak on the QUT Real Health Panel this morning “Past Wisdom, Future Vision: Celebrating 50 Years of Nutrition and Dietetics”

It felt like a privilege to speak on a QUT Real Health Panel this morning - great to be included as a plus-size body positive dietitian on a panel promoting diversity in the profession.

I joined a diverse panel of dietitians with vast experience in their fields and it was great to discuss topics such as:

⭐️ Reclaiming credibility in a crowded landscape of nutrition voices.

⭐️ The future of nutrition and dietetics: future visions and emerging opportunities and what skills the next generation of professionals will need.

⭐️ Diversity in leadership to embed nutrition and dietetics into policy, politics, education and the economy.

Panellists
Deborah Blakley, Professor Ben Desbrow, Dwayne Garcia, Leah Higl, Maryl-Ann Marshall, Kay Schroeter, Parisa Sekhavati & myself.

Moderated by Associate Professor Helen MacLaughlin and Associate Professor Helen Vidgen, School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, QUT.

Happy Dietitians Week 2025!
🍋🍓🫛🥕🥐🍱🍳🍤🥗🍫🍎🌽🍐🥑

As a dietitian, this week is a celebration of our profession and a chance to reflect on why we do what we do.

I became a dietitian to help people nourish their bodies with good food and improve their relationship with food. Compassion, respect and evidence-based care that looks at the whole person, not just the number on a scale.

This Dietitians Week, I honour all the work that so many incredible dietitians do, including but not limited to challenging diet culture with courage, advocating for inclusive and accessible nutrition and working across clinical, community, and research with a variety of other health professionals.

Today is International No Diet Day - a powerful reminder that your worth is not measured by your weight, your body is not a problem to fix, and food is not your enemy.

Let’s be real: stepping away from diet culture can feel overwhelming. It’s everywhere in the media, conversations, food advertising, even in our own inner voice.

Change doesn’t happen all at once. Little steps - like learning your hunger cues or not labelling foods good or bad which can help in ditching the guilt around food all add up.

If you’re ready to start showing your body more kindness and letting go of food rules, I’m here to help you do it with compassion and support. You’re not alone in this.

I’m a big advocate of what can you add into your diet or little swaps that can make a big difference over time - can you add in a piece of fruit with a snack, how about adding in an extra serve of veg or even half serve to a meal. It all adds up!

Message me if you are interested in working together to improve your dietary intake.
