It’s about being yourself and being part of a diverse community of women who raise each other up. Nia isn’t a rigid set of exercises. It’s not about remembering steps or ‘getting it right’ and it’s not for any one age group. It’s non-judgemental and it’s never boring or a chore. Nia doesn’t ask your body to do anything that doesn’t feel right. Curious about Nia? Come and try it out... Your first week of classes with me is free! LOCATIONS:

It’s not every day you show up on the news for making a positive impact.

The past few weeks have been huge - planning, promoting and preparing alongside my colleagues for Family Drug Support QLD's International Family Drug Support Day at Queensland Parliament House.

And this year… we made the news!

Thank you to Channel 10 for sharing a snippet from the day, highlighting one aspect of the event and Robyn’s deeply moving story of loss.

24 February marks 29 years since Tony Trimingham - Founder and Patron of Family Drug Support - lost his son Damien to a he**in overdose.

International Family Drug Support Day was created as a call for advocacy - to change the landscape for families and carers impacted by alcohol and other drug use.

To see the person, not the drug. Because when we truly see the whole person - their dignity and humanity - compassion and understanding can replace stigma.

Thank you Robyn for the courage to share your lived experience to help other families. It was an honour to stand alongside you.

See the person, not the drug 💙

On 24 February, we mark International Family Drug Support Day, recognising the vital role families play in supporting their people affected by alcohol and other drug use.

This year’s Family Drug Support QLD event brings together leaders, researchers and advocates to recognise families, challenge stigma and drive more compassionate, evidence-based responses.

I'm honoured to again emcee and introduce a stellar lineup of speakers including Queensland Mental Health Commission Commissioner Ivan Frkovic, Michael Berkman - Greens MP for Maiwar, Ben Ikin, Dr Tim Piatkowski and Emeritus Professor Robyn Jorgensen.

Nearly 200 people have registered to attend this year's Brisbane IFDSD event. If you haven't got your free tickets, it's not too late to join us to strengthen support for families impacted by alcohol and other drugs.

📍 Premier’s and Speaker’s Hall, Queensland Parliament House
