Wow! I’m so proud of what Yoko and I have achieved at Feathertail in what has become the new normal 💚 Yoko on the land, living in daily heart connection with the tangible magic of the place… and me in Port Macquarie, remembering how that magical place danced me into who I am now 🙏🏽

Together we are supporting Airbnb guests to deepen into relationship with themselves and with Nature, as they drop the busyness that keeps them from remembering who they truly are. It’s such a joy to feel the way our co-creation is making a tangible difference to someone’s life… this guest truly basked in a feeling of safety and belonging, which she expressed is unusual for her to experience on an airbnb stay.

Thank you so much Yoko for the magic you continue to bring to Feathertail. I really look forward to you sharing the deep connection you have developed with this land through sound healing at our next Grief Ritual June 13th with .bednarski

Eight years ago when I was new to Feathertail Nature Refuge, my vision was to create a safe place for people to journey to when the busy-ness of their lives became too much. A place to remember their being-ness, to deepen into relationship with Mother Earth, and to reconnect to their true nature. A place to sleep deeply, to make cups of tea and listen to the birds, to wander and wonder on this magical land….
It’s a joy that even though I’m now on saltwater Country further south and Yoko is now tending the hearth fire, this vision still lives! Yoko and I love that Feathertail offers people exactly what they need to receive… (sound healings from Yoko an added bonus! More to come on that!)

P.s. It was also my wish to build an outdoor shower… so I love it when this features in a review 💦

Something magical is being woven at Feathertail Nature Refuge right now…

This forested land of tall trees, fresh mountain water and heart opening bird song. A land i’ve nestled into, cocooned with, grown on, sung to, been sung by… a land that’s danced me through grief and gratitude for 7 beautiful years of service… a land I’ve lost myself in, and known myself through…

She’s held me and I’ve held her,
… and in that holding, so many others have experienced the beauty of this land too..
Retreating to the forest and settling into the arms of Mother Nature, reconnecting to the truth of who they really are.

… and whilst my heart remains connected to Feathertail, I no longer fall asleep suspended in the dreaming of the night chorus from the top of the treehouse…
I’ve swapped the fresh water for salt water, the forest canopy for expansive blue skies, and I’m currently embodying my truest essence and calling Port Macquarie my home.

Gently and with intention, Yoko (who is now Feathertail’s caretaker) and I are co-creating a vision of beauty. The weaving is beyond what I imagined, yet perfectly aligned with the vision I’ve always held.
It’s a beautiful reminder for me that manifesting is about cultivating FEELING not circumstance. This might LOOK different to what I imagined (I never thought I’d move from Feathertail!), yet this change has created the RESONANCE I’ve always felt is TRULY ME.

New songs are being sung in the chambers of my heart... and Yoko’s too…
… and together, we are dancing into the new, appreciating the beauty of the web we’re weaving.

Welcomed to a new community of like-hearted Women on Saturday at the ‘With Presence into 2026’ Day Retreat held by Denis at FUN Yoga Wauchope on the Mid North Coast✨

Sharing my love for moving from a place of inner truth, I facilitated a Conscious Dance session with a group of 15, many of whom were new to dancing in this way. Shimmying and shaking our way through a playlist I crafted with mixed genres and rhythms, we danced our joys and sorrows, our ease and our resistance…

For some, moving through self-consciousness to dance in a shared space together as community was the dance itself 🙏🏽

I was humbled by their trust and grateful to feel the emotional release and freedom in the room … something I personally LOVE about Conscious Dance!

To those who were there, hank you for the privilege of witnessing you in your vulnerability, and for your loving witness of ME as I step into new community on new land 💚

Looking forward to future dances with you very soon!

🤍Just over a week until we begin our 6 Week Online Grief Ritual Container 🤍

Since holding our in-person Grief Rituals for the past two years, Cat and I are feeling the call to journey deeper and for a longer period of time with women in their grief… whic means you can join us now from whatever lands you’re on!

We begin September 1st and will gather each Monday evening at 7pm AST.

We have limited spaces in this container to maintain intimacy and depth.

Exchange is $250Au or $220 for returning grief tenders.

This includes 6x 1.5 calls and a support group thread to assist in integration and deepening.

Louis lives and works in the city and hadn’t had a break for ages. He shared that his intention was to “spend the weekend reading, journalling and just generally being present in nature”. I’m grateful that Feathertail attracts like-hearted folk with strong intentions and that in return, they are gifted exactly what they need 🏡💚🌳

I love that Feathertail keeps calling in those that need a simple weekend of nature time. For this guest, he was looking for a quiet peaceful place “to do some healing and process some stuff”. I was reminded of these words today from one of my favourite poems,
From a poet that .bednarski and I often quote in our Grief Rituals…

Today, I felt the truth here yet again.
What a paradox (and privilege!) it is to experience the challenges and blessings that come with living a sentient life.
In these times, as I return again and again to nature,
I am reminded that she is my greatest healer,
Like a giant hug full of warmth and light, she is always there to hold me.
… and that’s how I felt here recently,
In the afternoon light a week before solstice,
Walking up the backyard to Mermaid Mountain,
Tired and recharged all at once,
I felt grateful for these lands that welcome me,
Over and over and over again.
A fierce and fiery embrace…
Of endless love and expansive possibility.

I love receiving photos from my Airbnb guests of how they connect to Feathertail. This one came to me with the title ‘magic’ and some poetry that reflected our shared conversations around the beauty of going on unexpected journeys in our life. Maybe you can relate?

I see that straight journeys
are a rare exception
So maybe it is OK
that mine is no different
On the map of my life
the line sometimes goes sideways
pivots
and spirals off in any number of directions and patterns
Unsettling to be sure
but perhaps there is a rightness, too
A purpose hidden within the chaos...
