How impressive is my dad's first ginger harvest over the weekend? Fresh ginger can be used in so many ways including in stir fries, soups, desserts and drinks. I also enjoy a few thin slices of crystallised ginger on top of my porridge from time to time!

Ginger has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties, is helpful for reducing nausea and is just all round a great way to flavour our food 👌🤎

If you're prone to experiencing feelings of failure and shame if you haven't been able to implement the dietary changes you set out to, adjusting your mindset might be the answer.

It's impossible to be successful in our endeavours if we strive for 'perfect', because 'perfect' doesn't exist. Let's try switching to 'good enough' instead.

'Good enough' is attainable. Allowing for flexibility often brings with it a sense of peace and contentment, rather than guilt and fear (insert deep breath here). It opens up the conversation and makes room for behaviour change.

Examples of 'good enough':

> Including a few different colours of vegetables on the plate, rather than aiming for an exact number of serves

> Replacing calorie counting with eating regular meals

> Having a palm size piece of meat or a small handful of nuts rather than weighing the portion
