Please be careful, do your research before going anywhere, I am seeing more and more men that are getting terrible advice so their money can be extracted from them.

Worst part of a hair transplant?

For many people considering a hair transplant, the donor area is often overlooked before the procedure. Donor scarring can vary significantly between clinics and is influenced by both the tools used and the skill of the practitioner. Larger punch sizes may be used in some settings to increase graft yield, however this can increase the risk of visible scarring and may limit the ability to wear shorter hairstyles.

If a procedure does not meet expectations and requires revision surgery, this can further impact the donor area and reduce the available supply for future procedures. Donor management is just as important as the design and density of the transplanted area, which is why careful research and appropriate medical advice are essential.

Creatine has been unfairly blamed for hair loss for years.

The reality is there is no strong clinical evidence showing that creatine directly causes hair loss. The concern largely comes from a single small study that suggested a potential increase in DHT, but this has not been consistently replicated in the literature.

For most people, creatine is a well-researched supplement with clear benefits:
• Improved strength and performance
• Better recovery
• Support for muscle growth
• Potential cognitive benefits

The bigger issue is this — if you are genetically predisposed to male pattern hair loss, the process is already happening.

Creatine is not the cause.

And avoiding it won’t stop it.

What actually matters is addressing the underlying condition early.

If hair loss is a concern, medical therapy such as finasteride or dutasteride can play a critical role in slowing or stabilising progression. This is where the focus should be.

Hair loss medication can be incredibly powerful when used appropriately. Hair loss is a progressive condition, and treating the underlying cause plays a critical role in protecting your long term result.

Before considering any procedure, the priority should always be preserving and strengthening your existing hair. In some cases, when medical therapy is started early and responds well, a transplant may not even be necessary right now.

A transplant should never be viewed as a standalone fix. Without stabilising the condition, hair loss can continue around the transplanted area, which can compromise the overall outcome over time.
