Your cycle tells a story — are you listening? A great infographic from our Dietitian

Understanding your menstrual cycle isn’t just about knowing when your period arrives. Each phase reflects what’s happening hormonally and gives clues about your fertility, energy, and overall wellbeing.

When you tune into your cycle, you can start to:
✨ Work with your body instead of against it
✨ Support your hormones through each phase
✨ Recognise what your body needs — rest, nourishment, or balance

Your menstrual cycle is your body’s monthly report card — and learning its language can transform how you support your fertility. 💞

From our wonderful Dietitan - Did you know your diet can play a powerful role in supporting healthy ovulation? 🌿

One of the largest studies on this topic — the Nurses’ Health Study II (Chavarro et al., 2007) — followed over 17,500 women and found that those who followed a “fertility diet” pattern (including more plant-based proteins, low-GI carbohydrates, and healthy fats, while limiting trans fats) had a 66% lower risk of ovulatory infertility compared to those with the lowest adherence.

It’s a powerful reminder from the Healthy Women’s Clinic that small, consistent food choices can make a real difference to your hormonal balance and fertility outcomes. 💫

⚡️Pubic symphysis pain in pregnancy? ⚡️

If lunges, clams, or single-leg exercises flare your pelvic pain — it’s not you, it’s the load.

💡 Move smarter, not less.

Try these pelvis-friendly swaps:
✔️ Narrow stance squats rather than sumo squats
✔️ Bilateral exercises rather than single leg variations
✔️ Supported wall sits rather than lunges
✔️ Banded bilateral glute bridges rather than single leg clamshells
✔️ 4-point knee hovers rather than birddogs

Keep these key tips in mind:
✨ Avoid wide stances and big lunging movements
✨ Sleep in a supported sidelying position with a pillow between the knees
✨ Move slowly and with control

If there’s persisting pain or discomfort - see a women’s health Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist to help support you through your pregnancy 💖

Disclaimer: please consult your healthcare professional before doing these exercises during pregnancy
