Welcome to One Family Yoga, Pilates and Fitness, we understand how hard it is to find time for SELF, to keep fit, healthy and happy in between school drop off, work, house and after school activities. Living a healthy, happy lifestyle is important to us, because we want our children to grow up with this instilled in them, that this is the way life is. We have been offering group Yoga, Reformer, Pilates, HIIT and Kids classes teaching to the individual for 9 years now in Holland Park. At One Family we design each class for EVERYBODY no mater how big or small. If you think that you can’t do yoga or fitness classes because your not flexible enough, not fit enough, don’t have time, too old, young, big, small or injured, THINK AGAIN! We promise you that you will leave our classes feeling great – body, mind and spirit. Our experienced teachers teach, Hatha yoga with modern adaptations to cater to the individual needs of each student in our small class setting. REAL YOGA FOR REAL PEOPLE. What kind of fitness classes do we have? We have 10 Reformer beds and world class instructors offering the best Pilates has to offer. Our Functional HIIT classes are taught by Dad, Victor, made up of mums and dads like you and me who just want to stay fit and healthy to be able to run around with our kids and feel good. (We leave the stripping, bulking and quick fixes to others)

One Family Yoga & Fitness opened in Oct of 2012, created by Lainie and Victor with the whole family in mind. We offer a wide range from Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Functional HIIT to Hatha Flow yoga classes, prenatal yoga classes, Family Yoga and yoga for Tween, Teens and Kids Yoga, Kids Judo, Kids Jiu Jitsu, Kids Gymnastics. There’s actually science behind why starting a new habit in January tends to stick 👇
January creates what researchers call a “fresh start effect.”
A clean mental reset. New year, new chapter, new identity.

When people start in January, they’re not just trying a habit — they’re deciding who they’re becoming. And identity-based habits last longer than motivation ever will.

January also comes with momentum:
• routines are being reset
• schedules are being reworked

By February, life ramps back up. Routines harden. Decision fatigue kicks in. Starting then often means fighting against your environment instead of building with it.

3 things I learnt doing a 3-day water fast 💧

1️⃣ Hunger isn’t an emergency.
So much of what we call “hunger” is habit, emotion, boredom or timing. Once you move past that first mental layer, the body is far more intelligent and adaptable than we give it credit for.

2️⃣ Discomfort creates clarity.
Choosing a positive stress (instead of avoiding discomfort) sharpened my focus, calmed my mind, and reminded me how powerful it feels to do hard things on purpose.

3️⃣ The mind usually quits before the body does.
The real work wasn’t physical - it was mental. And every time I stayed present instead of giving in, my self-trust grew.

Hard things build strong minds.
