Had a lovely time on the panel at the most recent meeting at the gold coast! It was so nice to meet other people who are as passionate about their work as I am. Plus, the miami marketta was a beautiful location to meet! Thanks again to Amanda Gorman, the founder of distractd for inviting me. Dr Glen Craig and Jane Morgan were excellent, and it was a pleasure to share the panel with them.

Constipation. 😫 Yep not a pleasant topic but so important to understand it's causes especially in kids... being more common in kids with autism! Selective eating and sensory issues often lead to no fruit and veg, refined grains, high fat/salt, and limited water OR there could be intolerances! It's interesting to note that by treating constipation will often result in improved food intake and improved behaviour and learning! Gut health is so important and worth a discussion around how to find the right strategy to get things moving!! Thanks again to Tony and Michelle for their advice!

Here is some wonderful advice from the Autism experts Tony Attwood and Michelle Garnett on helping your ASD child to eat more foods. Did you know there are 32 steps to feeding a child! 😯 It starts from being in a room with a food..... smelling a food..... touching a food without hands.... touching a food with hands.... tasting a food.... and finally eating the food! Kids with sensory issues may find it difficult to move up this hierarchy of accepting foods but we can make it easier by keeping them relaxed and the environment calm!🥰

4 day SOS Feeding Workshop has just been completed!!! I am so ecstatic to have done this... I can now support families more with an extended fussy eater/problem feeder toolkit. This will be a game changer and I can't wait to get going. Watch this space....
