Question (for coaches, practitioners and transformation facilitators)...
Did your training emphasise the importance of helping your client feel successful and noticing their small 'wins'?
My trauma training sure did!
But when a client is stuck, most practitioners either:
1. Give up, and declare the client is "uncoachable", OR
2. Start over-functioning by doing their client’s work for them.
The first response makes you sub-consciously doubt yourself - especially your skills as a facilitator.
The second response caps your client numbers.
If you take away just one thing from this post, know this:
Over-functioning is a direct result of practitioner people-pleasing and the unconscious belief that you are responsible for your client outcomes.
Interested to know more about how somatic mentoring overcomes practitioner behaviours like people pleasing and over-functioning?
Message me to book your free, no obligation call to discuss how I can help you uncap your client numbers and get better results.
* I promise, the somatic mentoring approach will give you more time to do whatever is most important to you... like snuggling with dogs and cats (in my case!).
